If you are currently enrolled as a student in Business Administration, Business Economics, or comparable (3rd or 4th years of your Bachelor studies) and looking for an internship in a Global Financial Institution, this initiative will challenge you and give you experience in our start up environnement and Innovation department.
Empowering people to stay a step ahead in life and business is ING’s purpose and the main driver for ING Labs, the innovation organization of ING. ING Labs focuses on thinking beyond traditional banking to develop new services to take to market. The start-up initiatives from ING Labs follow the PACE process to bring disruptive ideas to market. The PACE innovation process is based on the principles of design thinking, agile and lean start-up. Part of the innovation approach is to investigate the market: to understand the market developments and identify key competitors, trendsetters and potential partners.
You will be part of an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team that has a willingness to help you grow and learn as much as possible throughout your internship.

Logistic platforms and traditional logistic service providers with a digital portal to manage and track the shipments
Collaboration between these parties, inclusive other players such as Carriers (like Maersk), IT companies (like IBM) and other parties in this field (such as the Port of Rotterdam).
You will be tasked with:
Creation of a framework to characterize the different types of financial service providers in this field
Desk research to identify market developments/trends
Desk research to identify comparable initiatives (competition) and understand their proposition (depending on the info available via desk research: their target group and key markets, service offer, business model and their maturity & future strategy).
Desk research to identify potential logistic partners and understand their business (branch, key markets, volume, etc)
