In order to retain relevance with the consumer and grow the business in a world with constrained resources we must create new products, develop digital approaches and re-engineer our business models. We partner with vendors, innovators, start-ups and accelerators as well as with business divisions and departments on the development and creation of new materials and products, digitalization of the value chain, new (digital) consumer offerings and breakthrough business models that reinvent our business.
The Position
As a member of the sustainable business & innovation leadership team, this role is responsible for defining and leading the Innovation strategy, and the tactical oversight on project creation, scoping, project management, execution, and delivery of the innovation funnel, from concept-to-consumer for all PVH brands and departments. Looking to the horizon this role drives innovation through our organization and is key to adapting our approaches and accelerating our business growth in a VUCA, ever-changing world.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and safeguard the innovation North star, objectives and priorities, at all times linking them to the broader company and brand strategies
Strategy and end-to-end ownership for innovation roadmap and new bets for global brand and the PVH Europe organization
Develop the 4 different streams under Innovation to seamlessly deliver on the global brand and business vision, with an emphasis on further development of the digital, business and culture streams, bringing in more holistic concept thinking into the product team and structuring long-term innovation capacity
Ensure the right approaches and capacity for all phases of the innovation funnel and steer the team for results and focus from concept creation to launch, in partnership with the relevant stakeholders
Realize commercialization in close alignment with the commercial business teams to ensure adoption and scale up of projects
Own the discipline behind the go to market process driving to execute seasonally as relevant
Structure a value-based approach through a combination of financial viability, consumer orientedness and data driven methodologies
You will partner with core teams across Design, Sustainability, Circular Business, Digital Ventures, E-commerce and Retail to understand current business models and to introduce mid and long-term innovation plans to accelerate and transform our organization
Increase the innovation adoption capacity of the broader organization through the right structures, support and capacity building
The Ideal Candidate:
At least 15 years of working experience in an international business environment
Strong knowledge and experience in innovation, in fashion or another FMCG environment
State of the art understanding of innovation funnel management (including long term innovation), design thinking and consumer centered innovation
Strong understanding of digital product development
Excellent business acumen and strategic capacity
Visionary leader with a participative style
Creative and entrepreneurial mind
Sound understanding of consumer and brand environment and ability to constantly find the connection with consumer, brand and business strategy
Very strong communication skills
A truly collaborative mindset with excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
