    VP / Director CSG Strategic Equity Solutions

    Financial Markets (FM) is the bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

    Your role

    You will be part of the Client Solutions Group (CSG) within ING Financial Markets Sales. CSG is a group of product specialists located in Amsterdam, Brussels, Hong Kong and Singapore. CSG works closely together with Institutional Sales, Corporate Sales, and Product and Client teams within ING Bank to develop, originate, structure and distribute hedging and investment solutions to ING's client base.

    Your key responsibilities

    Marketing and client interaction: Be an active promotor of the CSG strategic equity desk

    • You will assist FM sales and Sector PAMs as equity derivatives expert to pitch and market equity solutions to clients. You will follow-up on leads and deals from origination to closure.

    • Produce presentation materials: client pitches, internal meetings, conferences or other marketing, transactional or approval related purposes;

    • Solution partner: be able to price equity linked structures using input of FM Sales, trading and/or Sectors;

    • Coordination and support: work with FM Sales and Sectors to provide ongoing overall support by delivering product support and organizing calls/follow ups as needed.

    Deal Execution: Be a swift originator with smooth execution skills

    • KYC and onboarding: coordinate with Sectors and FM Sales as needed and submit and complete onboarding for potential transactions;

    • Documentation: review documents or any related transactional information as necessary to assist in evaluating a transaction. Participate in calls and discussions on risks and pricing;

    • Trade analysis: Participate in internal and external discussions to support and engage in the analysis of transactions including discussions with counsel, risk teams, credit teams on various risk considerations of transactions or other initiatives of the team;

    • Request for approval: prepare approval request memos in conjunction with FM Sales, Sectors, trading, risk, operations, legal etc. in order to prepare documents for green light committees or other internal approval discussions. Participate as necessary/requested in committees;

    • Settlements: work with trading, middle, back office, other entities as relevant to ensure that settlements of transactions are completed;

    • Others: in coordination with any team that is involved in the process, ensure any process or requirement that has not been completed is addressed.

    Post Deal Support: Keep clients happy

    • Follow up on post deal requirements: prepare list of all post deal requirements and ensure they are completed by the CSG Strategic Equity team in a timely manner or others who may be required to complete certain task;

    • Organization: file all contracts and relevant documents on the CSG Strategic Equity drive and record deals so the information can be easily accessed by the team;

    • Monitoring: develop spreadsheets to track deals that need to be accrued. For accrued deals, book PnL before the deadline for month end;

    • Reports: produce periodic reports on group revenue and deal flow as requested;

    • Coordination: collaborate with partners as necessary within the bank to complete necessary functions post the closing of any deal. This will include communication with Trading, Middle, Back Office, FM Sales, Risk and Sectors.

    Training: become the to go-to ambassador for strategic equity transactions

    • Provide training about corporate equity derivatives to internal stakeholders (e.g. Strategic Product teams, FM Sales and Sectors);

    • Be a mentor and coach for junior team members.

    Who are you?

    • M/F with 8-12 years of experience in equity derivatives experience in sales and/or structuring;

    • Solution seeker with a passion for strategic equity transactions;

    • Proven originator with knowledge about margin loans, share buy backs, stock option plan hedging, structured products and equity options in EMEA, APAC or Americas;

    • Curious, proactive and positive attitude (i.e. “No is not an answer mentality”);

    • An open-minded team player and business builder;

    • Fluent in English;

    • A genuine team player and a clear and transparent communicator.
