Jungle Minds develops new, impactful business propositions by combining strategic insights with the power of making, for brands like Basic-Fit, LeasePlan, Philips, Ajax F.C, Zwitsal, The Dutch Government, BAM and more. We are constantly looking for innovations that combine business impact, user centricity, design & technology. To further strengthen our team of UX designers, we are looking for a motivated and energetic Medior UX Designer.
Are you a proactive, collaborative team player, with excellent UX design skills and a passion for digital technology? Are you someone that strengthens our team and our culture in terms of personality, drive and interest? Then we are looking for you.
The skills you bring
Design: You can justify your design and user flow by explaining your design choices and motivate teams and clients. You're responsible for the flow of the complete product.
Technology: You are able to quickly develop an understanding of design implications and alternatives for technology per project and you continuously communicate with front-end and back-end for concertation.
Facilitate workshops: You help facilitate workshops for ideation or to collect input from stakeholders.
Experience: You translate the central story and brand identity into coherent experiences per page and per user flow.
Business: You align your flows and CTA with the clients' business goals.
Research: You understand and know how to conduct core research methods (like explorative interviews, concept tests and usability tests) without guidance.
User insights: You understand how to capture and craft user insights from research and clearly communicate these to your team and client.
Research setup: You are able to suggest the right methodology and approach for user research in a project.
Who you are
Fact-based, fast-paced - You are a maker and a do-er. The value Jungle Minds brings is to quickly generate high-quality insights from users and markets to identify valuable business opportunities and create momentum in even the most complex situations. Our method therefore, is focused on validating our assumptions through user research and client feedback. We can only do this by making ideas tangible as quickly as possible, from sketching to prototyping.
Self-reliant team player - You are a skilled team player. At Jungle Minds, we work in cross-functional and self-reliant teams. This allows us to explore new opportunities in fast cycles. This means everyone in the team should be confident in their expertise but also versatile enough to trust, understand and power the rest of the team.
Co-client approach - We don’t just talk about business impact, we actually make it. This is only possible when we immerse ourselves into our clients’ business and collaborate closely with business owners. They provide valuable insights into their sector that we could never have, so in return we make them a key part of our creative process. We make them feel at home here and involve them in every step of our process.
Relentlessly Curious - Like everyone else here, your curiosity is limitless. You are always looking, pushing and questioning. And always ready to dive into our client’s business. This curiosity is what enables us to be great at what we do. It allows us to lead our clients into new territory that they would never have considered possible. Most importantly, it leads us to the best results and allows us to roll with any changes that come our way.
Always pushing forward - You’re here because you’re great at what you do - and because you want to become even better. Your ambition to excel is infectious. Your ability to respond positively to changing circumstances is inspirational. Even when things look tough, you have the energy, enthusiasm, optimism and versatility to overcome any obstacle.
Natural ownership - You’re determined to make sure that the job gets done right: that means (as if you didn’t know) to the highest possible quality with zero loose ends. You’re driven to deliver not because it has to be done, but because you won’t be satisfied until it is.
Anything we’ve missed? Oh yes, you should:
Be available for 40 hours per week
Speak Dutch and English fluently (for user research and client communication)
Have at least two years of experience as a designer
Extra points if you have worked at an agency or if you have written code before. (Don’t worry, you won’t code, but it helps give you the edge when designing digital products).
