    UX Designer

Trimble loves UX and our teams are growing.

The Central User Experience team at Trimble is looking for a talented and detail oriented junior to mid-level UI/UX designer.

    About the position

As a member of an internal consulting team, you will be helping to support the design of web-based and desktop, and mobile applications. We offer a supportive and fun UX team, access to a growing UX/UI infrastructure, such as a central style guide and pattern library, and guidance through a lead UX/UI designer. You will be exposed to a number of applications and design challenges, working with stakeholders and development teams across the globe. This is a position for a junior designer who is looking to learn about the challenges of instituting the UX process on a global scale, while working on well-defined design tasks.

What you will be asked to do:

    • Work with the lead designer to take high level designs and design decisions and turn them into development-ready mock ups

    • Use Sketch-base pattern libraries to apply existing design guidelines

    • Detail design in Sketch, Adobe, and possibly Figma

    • Use Invision, Abstract, Jira and GSuite to deliver designs specifications

    • Write UI/UX spec documentation

    • Answer development and QA emails and call for design clarification

    • Help with usability testing

    • Become part of a team of designers who follow the entire discovery-concept-design-support UX process

    • Participate in UX team meetings and learn about other projects

    What we expect from you:

    • An undergraduate degree in user experience design, human computer interaction, interaction design or the like

    • An undergraduate degree in something else and a UX bootcamp certificate, paired with some job experience might also start the conversation

    • 1-2 years of experience as a junior designer and a compelling portfolio to prove it

    • Experience with UX inside an Agile environment

    • Attention and love for beautiful detail

    • Team spirit

    • An eagerness to learn about all things UX/UI

    • Capacity to learn by doing, and willingness to accept direction

    • Willingness to contribute your own creativity and originality

    • Fluency with Sketch and or Figma and Invision
