Treasury Risk Management
The Financial Risk (FR) department is a head office function that sets and controls financial risk strategy across the organization. The department provides strategic guidance on financial risk (credit, trading, treasury and balance sheet), safeguards regulatory compliance, is responsible for model development for banking, trading and credit risk. The job opening is currently within the Treasury and Capital Management (T&CM) of FR which performs a Tier 1 ALM risk management for Group Treasury (GT) and Tier 2 ALM risk management oversight for the Treasury functions in the local entities.
What you'll do
The key activities for the Treasury Risk Manager role are:
Periodic monitoring of financial risks in the Treasury Books against defined limits and control, both on Tier1 and Tier 2 level. The main activities monitoring & analyzing interest rate, FX and intraday liquidity risks in the banking book;
Price testing and valuation adjustments on Treasury portfolios;
Coordinating, challenging & performing financial risk analysis and assessment of Treasury Risks within the Bank;
Risk appetite setting and oversight of Treasury activities globally;
Acting as advisor to local Treasury Risk managers;
Participation in (change) projects of different sizes from department wide to bank-wide projects;
Validation of implementation of risk models, pricing curves and configurations in position keeping systems for the Treasury business as a result of regulatory requirements and financial market changes;
Monitoring of issuance and securitization programmes.
How to succeed
You are an experienced risk analyst with a good understanding of treasury risk (interest rate, fx, liquidity and funding risks). You understand the complexities of a banking group with global operations and have a good understanding of recent regulatory changes and requirements.
You are team player who will add value to the Financial Risk department within a dynamic environment. You will ensure that the activities you are responsible for will be performed to an exceptional standard.
You possess an excellent command of English, being able to demonstrate negotiation, presentation and writing skills.
You are able to deal with cultural differences, conflicting interests, complex and unforeseen challenges, as well as to constructively cooperate with your peers in building a sustainable, effective and efficient working environment.
You have very strong analytical skills and the ability to use advance formulas, macros and calculation spreadsheets;
Candidates with work experience with Murex, QRM and/or Intex applications have an advantage.
Work experience & skills required:
2-3 years of experience in a Financial Risk role in the Treasury domain;
Experienced in risk management and financial products;
Fluent in English;
Academic level, preferably in Economics/Econometrics/Finance or Quantitative specialization.
Well able to present complex content in easy and transparent way.
