During our two year programme you get to experience the fundamentals of HR within ING, preparing you for a role as an HR Business Partner. You learn more about various disciplines, such as Performance & Reward, People Analytics and local HR processes & policies. Our International Talent Programme also allows you to discover yourself through a wide selection of trainings.

Your first rotation
As an HR trainee you work on important HR projects that have a real impact on the company and which expose you to the very latest developments within the HR discipline. You start your traineeship with a rotation to dive into HR fundamentals, such as payroll, employer branding and our collective labour agreement.
As a trainee you receive guidance from your line manager and your Key Potential Expert (trainee manager). If you are looking for additional guidance you can ask a Senior Manager to mentor you. They will coach you, inspire you, introduce you to their network and share their knowledge and insights with you.
Besides being given the opportunity to put your talent to good use where it really matters, you’ll participate in a global training event with all trainees from your year, which will also enable you to quickly build up a large network.

Our HR trainee
Has a Masters degree from a university, preferably in Human Resource Management, Psychology or Law;
Has gained experience within the HR domain either through internship or work;
Has gained (international) experience through various extracurricular activities;
Is interested in the financial services and banking sector, an innovative take on HR and an unconditional drive to turn ideas into reality;
Is enthousiastic and considers the interests of our colleagues and customers alike;
Is fluent in English.

The first interview round (HR interview) will be scheduled as soon as you pass the three part assessment.
The second interview round (Business Panels) will be held in the following weeks:

We have a limited amount of traineeship positions per traineeship, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible!
