After a product has been designed, it is manufactured in Front and Back-End processes. In general the Front-End process is about manufacturing chips on silicon wafers. Back-End is about separating the chips from the wafer followed by assembly in standardized packages. These final products are delivered to the NXP customers.
Wafers and final products are tested in the Back-End process to sort passing from failing products.
Industrial test consist of a wide variety of process flows, standardized equipment and parts. The focus of the vacancy is at creating tooling to setup the industrial test flow for New Product Introductions (NPI).
New products are initiated, designed and brought into the market by Product Lines. The Product Lines work in close harmony with manufacturing to setup and develop production flows.
Local test facilities (GNTC, CZ labs) and Back-end mass production sites (ATxx) have NPI owners to guide new products smoothly from development to production.
The stakeholders in this project are diverse, distributed over the world and hosted in Product lines, Local test facilities and mass production sites.
Currently the process flow is defined in a web-application. This NXP customized tool contains a lot of product information stored in large tables providing unclear insight at process flows.
GNTC-Nijmegen took a local initiative to put the process flow in an experimental Excel format, named TAS (Test Application Sheet). The TAS is used to align stakeholders and decide about configuration choices in the manufacturing flow in an early stage of Product development.
The goal of the project is to deploy the local TAS initiative among all stakeholders by involving them in the setup of a new mature graphical application.
Your responsibilities :
o Setup a project plan and progress reporting to the Project Review Board
o Determine and align the basic tool requirements with stakeholders
o Compare the possible systems against the requirements and constraints (Cost, Time, Quality)
o Configure or develop the flow tooling
o Release the tooling with a sign-off from the PRB and stakeholders
