At Philips Interoperability Solutions, quality is an integral part of the development process. We are at the frontier of productizing interoperable solutions for data dependent workflows. These solutions link patient data from various healthcare enterprises to help Clinicians inform, treat or refer patients better. We use modern methods such as Test-Driven Development and automated testing in an Agile environment.
You are responsible for
Analyses user-level functionality before and in development for verification and validation, and documents as appropriate
Plans, performs and documents tests on verification and validation level during the development process and over product releases
Analyses and documents software problems in a defect tracking system and uses it to plan testing of solutions for them
Plans and implements test hardware configurations for testing of specific functionality such as integration, performance, stability and scalability
Creating successful relationships with Technical Consultants, Software Engineers and Product Owner
Occasional interactions with customer or partner representative
You are a part of
The Software Tester works with the development team to ensure product quality. In addition, we seek not just hands out contribution but perspective of the "end-user view" - which is indispensable to validate the software.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor and/or academic degree in similar field
A minimum of 5 years’ experience with software testing
Affinity with Agile, version control, Test-Driven Development, automatic testing, continuous builds, and lots of interaction between teams
Experience with automated testing is a must, we work with the tool Cypres
Experience with testing software products for the healthcare market is preferred (including HL7, IHE or DICOM knowledge)
Able to work independently as well as in a team environment and also have good communication skills
Experience with SQL Databases is a plus
