Are you the person that makes planning and preparing of Stage Gate presentations to the Tender Committee so easy that Tender Managers can simply book a slot, provide the right information and you have spare time to spend on contributing to BAM’s Tendering Excellence?
As a Tender Desk Assistant, you will be co-ordinating the planning of the Stage Gate reviews, Peer Reviews and Tender Assessments of the category A and B tenders. Depending on your background you might be preparing for and participating in Peer Reviews and Tender Assessments. Your abilities to analyse, report professionally, make decisions and communicate must be of high quality to ensure success.
Roles and responsibilities
You will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Tenderdesk managers and wider team in planning and facilitating meetings for Stage Gate reviews, Peer Reviews and Tender Assessments. Depending on your experience and background you will be involved and carry out improvement projects that suit your experience.
Specifically, you will:
Coordinate tender Stage Gate documents, including uploading documents on the Tender Folder that have received Comments and OpCo answers
Review and manage tender Stage Gate progress and liaise with the Operating Companies and Tender Desk team
Plan weekly tender Stage Gate reviews for attendance of Executive Committee, Tenderdesk and the Operating Companies
Coordinate and execute planning and preparation of Peer Reviews and Tender Assessments.
Participate in Peer Reviews and Tender Assessments
Plan and host key internal meetings for review of tender Stage Gates, Peer Reviews, Tender Assessments, Large Tender Lists, etc.
Analyse tender data for reliability and process accordingly
Provide assistance on CRM system related topics and look after the Tender Desk email account
Discuss, develop and execute improvement projects of different nature, depending on your own experience, interest and background. These improvement projects are oriented to Tendering Excellence and could range from process to collaboration or to content improvements of the Stage Gate Process; e.g. improvement of the CRM application in relation to planning and preparing for Stage Gate reviews or improving collaboration with the OpCo’s in preparing for Stage Gates or driving a benchmarking project about cost and production ratios or improving certain Stage Gate templates.

BSc degree or equivalent
Familiar with CRM Dynamics
At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the construction- or related industry.
Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders
Self-starting, pragmatic, result driven, team player and trusted partner.
Strong connector with organisational sensitivity
Fluent in English
The location for this role is flexible. Post Covid-19, this role will be based in Bunnik, with limited travel within Europe. You will report to the Tender Desk Director.
