    Technical Program Manager (App Distribution)

    Within the Global App Distribution team we look after the distribution of our app via third party platforms with a particular emphasis on Device Manufacturers. The app distribution team is part of the Booking Partnerships department.

    Our overarching goal is to make the world’s most widely distributed and used travel experience App.

    The role will be responsible for supporting commercial teams on all technical aspects of our acquisition and re-engagement efforts of App distribution via OEMs. You will be our partner’s business adviser, risk manager, and means of communication with their developers to ensure success.

    The distribution methodologies can vary from pre-installs via device manufacturers to advertising campaigns with various types of networks.

    To be successful in this position, you will need a technical background in (mobile) software or hardware development with a meticulous eye for detail, organizational and time management skills, and be someone who can work well with our team in multiple time zones.


    • Work with top OEMs in order to: understand needs, agree on scope of implementation, communicate on timelines, report on progress until final delivery
    • Specify what needs to be implemented and get sign off from the partner as well as internal stakeholders (commercial, product & tech teams)
    • Support commercial teams and partners with technical questions such as :
    • APK support / questionnaires
    • Tracking implementation and best practice
    • Support testing and go to market
    • Document industry best practices in the space, conduct and update training materials regularly
    • Identify, develop and make improvements to new ideas, techniques, procedures, services, or products
    • Successful delivery of technology services and products through the facilitation of technical projects and management of their inter-dependencies, risks and milestone deliverables.
    • Proactively communicate status and resolve issues, initiate solutions to problems as they arise

    • Manage communications with all stakeholders, internal to the team and across the department as well as with customers and external stakeholders;
    • Manage dependencies between multiple technical projects, support teams in mitigating issues
    • Track, communicate and help manage risks to ensure the successful outcome of technical projects and initiatives

    Requirements of special knowledge/skills

    • Experience in a client-facing role(s)
    • Intermediate understanding of the development process and responsible parties within web and app programs
    • Knowledge of trends in Mobile Measurements and Android/iOS advertising ecosystems
    • Knowledge of APKs, SDKs and app tracking best practices
    • Excellent ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
    • A creative approach to problem solving; always looking for improvements to the way things are done
    • Knowledge of common tracking pitfalls and fraud practices in the app space
    • True data curiosity and the ability to derive new insights from it
    • Ability (or demonstrated willingness) to learn SQL, advanced Excel user
    • Require knowledge of JIRA, Agile Project Management, Android/iOS familiarity with release management of android and iOS Apps
    • Previous experience under technical programs is required.
