As Technical Lead you are responsible for the execution of the design function for the NH90 Landing Gear & Intermediate Gearbox Component and for the operational management of engineers assigned to the Design Built Support Team(s) located in Helmond and Papendrecht. You ensure a correct execution of the design activities, procedures and processes as defined in the Military Design Organization Manual in accordance to planning and cost.
The Technical Lead works closely with the multidisciplinary NH90 Program team, in particular with the Program Manager responsible for LG and IGB l. You report directly to the NH90 Chief Engineer.
Fokker Landing Gear (FLG) is part of the GKN group and is active in the field of landing gear and related systems. This includes the design and development, production and assembly of complete landing gears, but also the repair and overhaul of systems in use. With its ± 250 employees, FLG is active, among others projects for the F-16 fighter plane, the Apache combat helicopter, the F-35 Lightning II (JSF), the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and the multi-purpose NH90 helicopter. For a Dutch aviation company of this size, they have acquired a unique position in the F-35 (JSF) program based on our design and development capabilities. In addition, FLG has been working for more than 15 years on the development of technologies for the application of Polymer Matrix Composite material on parts of landing gear.
