You are responsible for
A very diverse and interesting set of activities! The activities are based on a product and technology roadmap, covering studies, new product introductions, product maintenance activities and advanced field support.
You handle talent management, the way of working and output of the team. You lead and develop the teams within the allocated budget, on time and with the highest level of quality.
In more detail you will
Lead a software department of 17 engineers located in Best;
Define group composition including required proficiencies, resources and skills;
Ensure successful introduction and sustaining of high quality, serviceable, and reliable products;
Drive the technology roadmaps for the team;
Define and executes process improvement activities;
Manages relationships with external partners like suppliers and customers, and internal partners like Innovation, Operations, Customer Services, Procurement and Marketing.
You are a part of
The management team of the Imaging Chain Cluster (ICC) of the Business Innovation Unit (BiU) IGT Systems within Philips. This BiU is responsible for marketing, development and manufacturing of X-ray systems in the area of cardiac and vascular medical diagnosis and intervention (e.g. balloon angioplasty and stent procedures). Customers are interventional specialists, in the cardiology and radiology domain operating in hospitals across the globe.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
In this software leadership role, you will lead the display software team: 17 highly educated (Bachelor, Master, PhD) software designers. This team is responsible for the real time rendering and video distribution technology for our minimal invasive systems. To lead this team, you need to understand software development well, specifically high-performance real-time C++ code and design.
We look for a strong technical leader that want apply their skills in a medical device context and grow their people leadership skills!
Master’s degree in software engineering
Experience in People management and Project Management
Experience in a medical regulated environment, testing, and quality assurance is a plus
Abstract, analytical and creative challenge solver with helicopter view. You drive (out-of-the-box) solutions to complex cases
Strong communicative skills; both on individual and on group level (f.e. presentations)
Leader through example
Knowledge and experience of international standards (e.g. FDA regulatory, IEC 62304, IEC60601, ISO13485, ISO14971)
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
