    Team Manager Investments Bespoke Solutions


    Robeco is looking for a “Team Manager Investments Bespoke Solutions”. The team is focused on developing custom software solutions for Robeco’s core business processes. Examples are applications for instrument ranking, investment portfolio rebalancing, managing exclusions and evaluating investment opportunities.

    The team consists of 14 software engineers who have successfully delivered high value solutions over the last few years. The team has adopted Agile/DevOps, designs and delivers solutions based on a microservices architecture, and applies the latest Microsoft Azure technology available.

    The ambition is to further build and expand our software development capabilities, and to ensure the team remains the go-to reliable partner for delivering high value bespoke solutions.

    The position of Team Manager Investments Bespoke Solutions has become vacant and we are looking for a suitable candidate who can help the team to realize its ambitions.

    Position & Requirements

    You have at least an HBO degree (or equivalent), >10 year experience as IT professional in the asset management industry, of which >5 year in software development. You have good communication skills, a strong personality, and can manage demanding senior business stakeholders. You have a good understanding of the concept of a micro services architecture and have experience in that context.

    You can organize, motivate, and drive a team of highly skilled software development professionals to the next level. You are pragmatic and able to adopt different management styles where needed. You are a critical and creative thinker and can find the right balance between technical innovation and stable/secure services. Fluent in Dutch and English, verbal and in writing.

    Experience as a team manager with HR responsibility, experience with working in large projects, knowledge of Robeco in general and of the Robeco Investments business - and IT organization, of the Robeco application integration landscape, of Agile and DevOps, and of the asset management industry in general are strong qualifications.


    • Delivering bespoke software solutions on spec/schedule/budget (planning, coordination, managing dependencies, etc.)
    • Driving force behind getting the team to the next level in terms of project execution and technological expertise
    • Managing the team budget (tracking, reporting, etc.) and priorities
    • Business stakeholder management
    • Swift resolution of service disruptions
    • Operational - and HR management
