    Team Leader Tool Operations

    For the production processes within our factories, tools are required for testing the machine. At the tool operations department we deliver high quality tool support which enables ASML to perform their production processes safe and without any disturbance.

    Job Description

    Manage a team of ~25 Tool Operators working in a 5-shift schedule. As a team leader, you will work in dayshift schedule. The team leader manages skill levels, coaches, motivates and challenges the team members (e.g. feedback, routines, performance reviews). Also controls tool availability, sets priorities, solves problems and contributes to a productive and safe working climate. Defines and agrees on SLA’s with (internal) customers, is in the lead of introduction of new processes, reports on actual performance, initiates and implements improvements.

    Main Team Leader tasks & responsibilities:

    • People management: Manages his/her team, coaches the team members and assures required amount and proficiency of resource so that the team is at any moment capable of supporting ASML’s executing plans. Manage cooperation and harmony in the group by giving support, finding solutions and sharing information;
    • Contributes to a productive and safe working climate and ensures the desired level of engagement and flexibility. Takes care of the day-to-day operational management. Leads by example. Ensures proper execution of HRM policies and procedures;
    • Daily Performance Management: Observes day to day execution. Responsible for solving issues and preventing reoccurrence;
    • Tactical Performance Management: Define, attune, measure and reports overall SLA / performance to internal customers and staff;
    • Quality & Safety: Safeguard and maintain tool quality and completeness process. Ensures proper execution of Safety policies and procedures;
    • Improvement: Improve performance of the team and tool management processes. Initiates improvements and where required with support of the WTLO Engineers and other departments. Initiates and/or takes part in project activities related to the introduction of new processes and/or improvement initiatives;
    • Planning: Plans on priorities as defined in SLA’s. Identifies potential bottlenecks in operations. Acts and communicates on situations with appropriate urgency and in a pragmatic way.

    Main department tasks & responsibilities:

    Foups & Reticles:

    • Manage lend out and return Foups & Reticles to and from our internal customers;
    • Manage quality checks of Foups & Reticles with respect to completeness and cleanliness;
    • Transport of Foups & Reticles to the cabins in the cleanroom;
    • Swap & mount Foups & Reticles on the machines in the cleanroom

    Supporting activities for tools:

    • Check tools on quality, completeness and correctness;
    • Clean and pack tools for storage and transport;
    • Manage tool availability to prevent disturbances in the production processes;
    • Check inventory and make sure tools are well maintained;
    • Manage lend out and return tools to and from our internal customers at the tool cabin desk;
    • Collect & deliver tools and equipment requested with VESPA orders (by internal customer).

    Supporting activities for materials:

    • Collect & deliver production materials requested with VESPA orders (by cleanroom logistics);
    • Manage ultra-sonic cleaning street;
    • Clean materials to grade 2 specification with the ultra-sonic cleaning street for pellicle work center and D&E departments;
    • Register values to maintain correct operation of the cleaning street.

    Education

    MBO+ / HBO level (logistics discipline or industrial/business engineering)

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience (preferred as hierarchical leader, but coordinator/functional leadership is also allowed);
    • Experience with a dynamic working environment (many changes);
    • Knowledge and experience in warehousing and distribution processes is preferred.

    • Enthusiastic people manager (Good interpersonal skills, motivator, team builder, coach);
    • Service oriented mindset and excellent stakeholder management skills;
    • Able to think in end-to-end processes and understanding the bigger picture;
    • Flexible work ethic (your team works 24/7 and they sometimes need you after working hours);
    • Ability to manage people without always having the possibility of face-to-face contact;
    • Excellent communication and writing skills in Dutch.

    Context of the position

    Manufacturing within ASML plans and executes the assembly of NXE, NXT and XT systems, modules, parts for- and installs systems at customers’ site according to quality, cost and time criteria as agreed with our sales department and customers. The TF Shared Services department delivers support to achieve these order fulfillment targets with taking into account all market dynamics.

    Position in the value chain:
    The TF Shared Services WTLO department is part of the TwinScan Factory organization supporting the full ASML organization by delivering services, production plans, all materials and all necessary logistical functions to assure on time delivery of XT, NXT, NXE systems and Upgrades, Service Parts and commercial sets to our customers.

    As a Teamleader Tool Operations you report to the Manager of the WTLO Operational Services department. The span of control of this job will be approximately 25 FTE.

    Working location: the Netherlands, Veldhoven

    Other information

    • A certificate of conduct (‘Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag’, VOG) is required;
    • The candidate will need to follow additional training and courses;
    • Work will partially be done in cleanroom (wearing cleanroom suit);
    • Work will be done in dayshift (regular office hours). The shift schedule can change over time; flexibility from the candidate is required.
