    TCF Middle Office Specialist

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform activities like administration and control of collateral related to transactional financing for commodity customers.
    • Inputting or authorization of Utilizations and follow-up with relevant departments (Front Office, Credits, Operations departments etc.) in the approval chain in order to ensure timely and accurate execution.
    • Follow up of Cargo Position, financing stage, port, warehouse, country etc.
    • From the beginning of financing following all the stages (pre-payment, warehouse, shipment, receivable etc.) and shifting the loan type accordingly.
    • Collateral Documentation, follow up of transactional documents, missing documents, deferral list etc.
    • Checking if all documentation is in place prior to any new financing in line with Credit Utilization Conditions.
    • Monitoring and reconciliation of the daily position of the required collateral.
    • Build and maintain key relationships with counterparties, inspection companies, ports and warehouses etc.
    • Maintain ongoing market knowledge regarding regulation changes across Trade finance. Have a service driven mentality and autonomously you drive (service) improvements to optimize client experience, underlying processes and collaboration with your colleagues. You make every effort to prevent incidents, compliance related breaches and your focus is on “getting things done for our clients in a sustainable way that remains compliant with regulations”.
    • Are curious by nature, have an eye for detail and you are able to connect the dots out of the information you retrieve.
    • Collaborate proactively with your colleagues and inform them about status of cases and identify and flag issues. You escalate constructive and timely.
    • Divide the work equally and make sure that everybody remains engaged.
    • You contribute to a positive working environment and give and request feedback to uphold a positive collaboration.
    • Act as a deputy to the Director, authorize and monitor daily execution of the transactions, following up deferral lists and closely watch updated cargo positions.
    • Follow the market conditions, business related legal and technical changes.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Dutch and other language is an asset.

    • Able to separate important and lesser relevant information.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor degree / University of applied Science and/ or Master.
    • Working knowledge of various trade facilities including L/C’s, B2B L/C’s, Guarantees, SBLC’s, Trade Finance, Commodity Finance (Warehouse finance, BL finance, Receivable finance etc.), Borrowing Base lending and monitoring processes, TPA agreements and margin call payments, Overdraft accounts, Credit allocation, utilization and monitoring processes, etc.
    • Past working experience in a similar role, i.e., Trade Finance middle or back office, Commodity Finance transaction management, Credit Risk allocation / monitoring.
    • Understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
