Your job as Senior Tax Specialist
As a Senior Tax Specialist at Canon Production Printing you initiate and participate in all relevant tax projects and assist the accounting, legal and business teams (both proactive and reactive) in all relevant tax matters. You will have high quality and technical interaction with the external auditor and internal stakeholders (e.g. accounting department and Financial Planning & Analysis). You will also manage and strengthen relationships with the tax authorities and external tax advisors. The Senior Tax Specialist:
Determines tax savings and recommends strategies
Manage internally timely (tax accounting) reporting under IFRS
Coordinate tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing and consolidating provision schedules
Manage/coordinate tax returns (supply documents and liaise with external tax advisors, prepare and review tax returns, monitor filing deadlines)
Maintain timely awareness of new regulations and communicate these effectively
Coordinate and optimize transfer pricing relevant processes, establish control mechanism and transfer pricing compliance system
Coordinate and review preparation of Transfer Pricing Local Files on behalf of subsidiaries
Coordinate and prepare various (recurring) compliance reports such as Japanese Controller Foreign Corporation reports, Country-by-County report, FIN48 and Mandatory Disclosure Regime)
This position is based in Venlo, the Netherlands, and you will report to the VP Finance and Accounting. You work closely together with the group’s tax community at EMEA level and at the level of the Canon Headquarter in Japan
The Finance and Accounting Department is responsible for a reliable accounting and reporting internally and externally. The Finance and Accounting department consists of Financial Accounting, Financial Control, VAT, Customs and Tax. The department is located in Venlo and Poing and consist of approximately 40 fte’s.

You have the ability to work across disciplines with people of different cultural background. As a practical, solution-oriented and hands-on team player, you take ownership and accountability. Furthermore, you meet the following requirements
Master degree in Fiscal Law or Fiscal Economics
A minimum of (approximately) 10 years international tax experience with in-depth knowledge of Dutch Corporate Income Tax and interest in other taxes
Experience with working in teams with different experts
Experience with IFRS and tax accounting is a plus
Fluent in English, speaking and writing, and preferably an excellent level in Dutch
Available for 24-32 hours per week
