In this position, you will be responsible for tax compliance, providing tax advice and general accounting support for all Bluewater companies. You will make a substantive contribution to the global tax strategy related to tenders and contracts. You will give instruction and advice to Tender Management, Legal and Project Management on both taxes rules and regulations, and tax matters.
Furthermore, you will:
provide pre-contract tax content of tenders (provision of clear, practical and business focused tax advice to the commercial team in relation to anticipated tax costs, compliance obligations and other tax aspects of tenders)
manage/coordinate tax returns; supply of all relevant documents to external tax advisors, liaise with external tax advisors, prepare and/or review tax returns together with external tax advisors and/or Finance colleagues. D ay to day responsibility for all tax issues pertaining to relevant (foreign) entities and jurisdictions
ensure global employment tax structures and compliance in projects; advise on visa and secondments implications and procurement of labour
ensure the relevant tax processes and procedures are documented, and maintained up to date, including transfer pricing and intercompany agreements contribute to taxation planning and income tax filing for the relevant employees
participate in maintaining a strong and professional relationship with tax authorities and external tax advisors
assist in the preparation of the annual accounts, DTA calculation, assist in monthly VAT filing for the Dutch and English companies
maintain timely awareness of new tax regulations and their impact, and communicate these ef-fectively across all levels
You will report to the Group Financial Controller.
We are looking for a skilled communicator with analytical and conceptual capabilities, and advice and influencing skills. Furthermore:
you have a Master degree in Tax Law with 5 years of (international) experience at an advisory firm or in-house tax position
knowledge of the composition of (large) tax returns and tax accounting
you solve complex issues for which good understanding of the business (context) and vision are necessary
you are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
you are creative and committed to turn opportunities into results, and you solve bottlenecks and change approach if things are not working.
you stay up to date with the developments in your own market and see ways forward and share insights with colleagues and clients.
