    Talent Acquisition Lead Kite Pharma- Netherlands

    Job Description

    The role

    Reporting to the Gilead Sr. Director Talent Acquisition for the International Markets this role is based in Hoofddorp (near Schiphol) - Amsterdam and will be comfortable operating as a player /manager with focus on the Netherlands to support the growth of our state-of-the-art Kite Technical Operations (manufacturing) site. You will also have reporting responsibilities across the ACE (Anz-Canada-Europe) Region for Kite and you will be involved in Kite high-level roles across ACE.

    We currently operate through a successful RPO solution, and you will be comfortable to work in a matrix environment driving results through others. You will be part of a Global TA team with frequent contacts with USA. While reporting to Gilead Sr. Director Talent Acquisition for the International Markets, you will also have a dotted line with the Global Head of TA for Kite Pharma based in Santa Monica.

    In this role, you will have gravitas, the ability to build quick and lasting relationships, developed on “real” business partnering principles including healthy debate and be able to challenge and collaborate with stakeholders. You will quickly understand the business strategy, external industry environment, internal and external talent capabilities and develop sustainable talent acquisition/management strategies to achieve the business objective.

    You will be a partner to and work in collaboration with the vendor partner with the ability to coach and mentor the recruiters.

    This will be achieved through learning the business, understanding the vision, mission and core values and how these differentiate Gilead/Kite as a company.

    This role will partner with the broader team in implementing global recruiting processes including design and implementation of tools and technology to significantly streamline and improve the recruitment process to increase quality, efficiency, and speed to fill jobs. You will also support projects especially in areas of Inclusion & Diversity /EVP/Technology with focus on the overall candidate experience.

    This role will also be involved in developing an Early Talent program to meet the company’s long-term vision establishing and leading relationships with universities and planning career events and conferences participation in alignment with the Global TA strategy.

    Specific Job Requirements

    The role will require, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

    A key member of the ACE TA Leadership team.

    Ensure continuity and consistency of candidate acquisition strategy, company culture and recruiting best practices.

    Ensuring business alignment and workforce plans are in place.

    Articulating and defining a company’s image and exploiting its key differentiators, reputation, and products and services to attract quality candidates.

    Partnering with RPO to define sourcing and recruitment strategies.

    Tracking and using key metrics to drive continuous improvements regarding recruitment decisions and the quality of hire

    Partner with Finance, Business and HR Departments to develop a systematic and clear workforce plan to fill vacancies.

    Collaborate with Public Affairs to ensure an appropriate use of social media instruments that communicate our image to support our aggressive hiring needs.

    Lead a team of experienced recruiters via RPO in delivering the hiring objective for the region. Ability to coach and mentor across the group.

    Operational Lead able to balance the vendor management and carrying their own requisition load for high level hiring.

    Develop team’s ability to participate in recruitment functions including job fairs, conferences and career events targeting unique applicant populations.

    Establish ongoing relationships with business in order to understand their objectives and recruitment needs.

    Ability to travel internationally, up to 20% time. Flexible working arrangements .

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    Relevant experience managing a regional staffing organization in-house, or onsite and a BS or BA degree (or international equivalent), preferably with an emphasis in HR or Business.

    Experience in pharma industry or biotech is preferable.

    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.

    Must possess good influencing skills.
    Must be able to independently identify appropriate actions to take in resolving staffing and/or employee issues using well-defined Talent Acquisition policies and procedures.

    Strong experience with professional & social media, the utilization of company referral programs, and networking to achieve recruiting results.

    Excellent process orientation and project management skills in a fast-paced environment to achieve the business objective.

    Understanding of Recruitment lifecycles and ATS workflows essential

    Curious with high learning agility

    English fluency is required. Dutch fluency preferable.
