    TA Event TeamLead

    TA Event Teamlead

    Will you help us in structuring and executing our Rotterdam Turnaround Events?

    Huntsman Rotterdam is expanding its Turnaround Event team and is currently looking for an extra Team Lead who will be responsible for the coordination of TA’s and Tune-ups for our factories in Rotterdam.

    As an Event Team lead you will be leading a project team of Huntsman employees, temporary employees and contractors in order to prepare and execute TA events. Leading up to the execution you will drive the team and key stakeholders in the organisation to cooperate to deliver a solid scope and schedule, whilst keeping track of the budget.

    As the TA Event Teamlead, you will:

    • Provide input to and manage a designated TA project team during the planning and execution phase of a TA event.
    • Establish the cut-off date for submitting jobs to the job lists, whilst managing change requests when necessary.
    • Ensure pre-turnaround activities and the manpower loading have been completed in a timely manner.
    • Provide adequate supervision of critical path jobs and coordinate the turnaround activities with all departments and outside contractors.
    • Identify and resolve barriers encountered during turnarounds and arrange appropriate technical support when needed.
    • Conduct and participate in status meetings leading to and during execution.
    • Ensure measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) for turnarounds and establish a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Approve / coordinate handover to Commissioning Manager for start-up.

    Skills & Experience Required:

    • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar Operational Management role (preferably within maintenance or projects in the chemical industry).
    • Experience in the coordination of Shutdown related projects, with PRINCE2 project management methodology or equal. Able to work in a structured manner.
    • Have practical knowledge of maintenance, production, planning and scheduling processes obtained through experience and technical training.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate activities and resolve conflicts between various stakeholders in a high-pressure environment
    • Proficient in setting up and conducting meetings for large groups
    • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to make fast and clear decisions in ambiguous situations.
    • Knowledge of working with EAM-systems. Experience with SAP is an advantage.
    • Fluent in English and Dutch.
