    Sustainability Manager for Sanoma Learning

    Sustainability Manager for Sanoma Learning

    This is a key strategic role in implementing and developing the newly updated Sanoma Sustainability Strategy in Sanoma Learning and its eleven operating countries across Europe. In this unique role you will be a part Sanoma Learning Human Resources and Communications function and also an integral part of the Sanoma Group level Sustainability Team developing, implementing and coordinating sustainability across Sanoma. This is a permanent role based in the Sanoma Learning Human Resources and Communications function and you will report to the Sanoma Learning Chief Human Resources Officer.

    In this role, you will be

    • Responsible for cascading the Sanoma Sustainability Strategy across Sanoma Learning businesses and supporting the Sanoma Learning business in implementing the strategy
    • Contributing to sustainability development at Group level as a proactive member of a small and dynamic Sustainability Team working with agile methods
    • Responsible for developing sustainability actions and leading chosen annual development projects together with the operating companies, the Sustainability Team and Sanoma’s other corporate functions (e.g. Human Resources, Procurement, Privacy and Compliance)
    • Actively planning and supporting sustainability communications internally and externally together with Sanoma Learning and Group comms teams
    • Supporting external sustainability reporting, especially for the annual Sustainability Review, including planning, development, content creation and data collection
    • Responsible for internal Sanoma Learning level sustainability reporting, including reporting to the Sanoma Learning Leadership Team and management teams of the operating companies
    • Following the development of external sustainability regulations and requirements and reflecting their implications on Sanoma Learning, and sharing your professional sustainability knowledge
    • Managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders regarding sustainability
    • Supporting development of sustainability-related Group policies and standards

    We expect you to have

    • Masters degree from an accredited college/university
    • Experience as a sustainability professional with corporate or advisory background
    • Up-to-date skills and knowledge of sustainability European level guidelines and frameworks (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD, Taxonomy, SBTi, CDP)
    • Experience and interest in building sustainability into a competitive advantage
    • Excellent project leading, communications and networking skills
    • A strategic approach combined with a hands-on attitude
    • Proactive development mind set and drive to take things forward independently
    • Excellent written and spoken command of English - additional skills in Polish or Spanish considered a plus
