Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist ensures that client orders are taken in, processed and carried out with precision to make ensure that the products are received on time. This role acts as a customer service representative and aftersales specialist, being the single point of contact for clients.
The Supply Chain Specialist ensures process improvements to reach the highest standard of processing all related procedures of logistics, warehousing and customer service.

The Supply Chain Specialist ensures process improvements to reach the highest standard of processing all related procedures of logistics, warehousing and customer service.
Main responsibilities:
Planning & Logistics
- Responsible for the inventory management, transport management and order management.
- Represent the point of contact for follow-up on time delivery dates & escalating changes related to supply
- Manage the shipments ensuring that product is shipped on time comply to DGR and IATA rules
- Own and manage the planning parameters in a planning system
- Represent the point of contact for follow-up on time delivery dates & escalating changes related to supply
- Optimize local planning processes
- Enables high “Service-to-Patient” ensuring up to date information with customers regarding delivery promises and inventory levels
- Take in orders from clients
- Convert these orders into data suitable for the production of the products ordered
- Ensuring the driver or transport company is fully informed about the shipments at hand
- Preparing the customs clearance
- Book flights and other means of transport to get the products to the client on time
- Creating and checking transportation (export) documents
- Making schedules to plan drivers and outsourced transports
- Responsible for organizing and follow up of logistic flows of final products to customer (freight out)
- Actively supports the global S&OP process

- Providing solutions for risen problems or difficulties
- Relaying customer questions to third party producers where necessary
- Relaying customer questions to management level where needed
- Ensures purchase orders management
- Ensure sales orders management
Compliance
- Making sure all logistics operations comply to DGR and IATA standards
Minimum requirements
Education:
High school graduation or Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related training
Language:
Dutch & English fluently, verbally and in writing
Skills and experience:
High school graduation or Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related training

Skills and experience:
- 8+ years of experience in high demand logistics
- People skills and team working
- Open and clear collaboration and communication to make sure the daily operation runs smoothly
- Exploitation of new technology and techniques to eliminate non-value adding activities and improve productivity / performance through new processes
- Shows the appropriate sense of urgency around given tasks
