    Job Description

    Are you a student looking for an Internship starting at the beginning of March 2021? Are you looking for an internship that will offer you an assignment in one of our running projects and that will challenge you with a wide-ranging variety of work and opportunity? Are you living in Europe and enrolled in a European University? If you are, then keep reading! We pride ourselves on being able to offer interns a challenging experience in our daily work.

    In your role as Supply Chain Quality intern, you will work together with Senior members of the Quality team actively managing the portfolio of JDE suppliers. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and exposure to various food product & packaging technologies, manufacturing techniques and to help the team strengthen supporting the development of tools and knowledge for the future.

    • Chance to learn about and help assess potential new suppliers by performing technical / process / quality / food safety assessments.
    • Develop technical rigor and depth in the assessment tools JDE uses to assess suppliers in different categories of raw and pack material
    • Work with JDE R&D packaging team to support R&D projects, ensuring new packaging is qualified with all critical quality criteria met.
    • Update existing supplier quality database, prepare calculations, dashboards and quality reports.
    • Update and enrich the Supplier risk assessment matrix (Food Fraud and Food Defense)
    • Update and enrich Material Risk Assessment
    • Deployment of Material monitoring program
    • Coordination activity around planning supplier audits and visits and follow up activities.
    • Opportunity to work on digitalization of Quality systems


    Do you fulfill the following requirements?

    • A student in Food tech/science, packaging science or technology related subjects.
    • Good proficiency in MS Excel is essential, preferably some experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
    • Good communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with people in various locations.
    • A “self-starter” with drive and energy, confident to work with minimal supervision.

    To be successful in this role you need to be enrolled at a University for the whole duration of the internship. Please note that non-EU students enrolled in EU University should have right to work for the whole extend of the internship.

    Preferable degrees include: Food Science, Food Technology, Packaging Science or Technology related subjects.

    You are highly motivated, an excellent communicator, fluent in English, inquisitive, analytical and prepared to work in a fast-paced, dynamic international environment.

    The monthly internship allowance is € 450,- for a HBO student or € 500,- for a WO student, based on a fulltime 40 hour workweek. The internship starts at the beginning of March 2021, and is for a period of 6 months.
