Europe Supply Chain is at the core of the European Business model, supplying 4 European clusters, other Unilever businesses around the world and 3rd party customers. The European Supply Chain is mainly based in Rotterdam and manages cost across multiple cost buckets, ranging from Materials to Production cost, Logistics and Supply Chain Overheads.
As a Supply Chain Finance team we support the business through analysis and insights. Relentless focus on Supply Chain performance measurement and management is vital to Unilever’s ambition to create fuel for growth and to achieve the underlying profit ambitions of the company. Beyond that, we are seeking opportunities to exploit new capabilities of Digital Finance (e.g. Robotic Process Automation and PowerBi).
MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Supply Chain Finance Analyst is responsible for managing the core reporting processes of the European Supply Chain in close cooperation with the FP&A Manager, ensuring a timely and accurate delivery of monthly results as well as forecast information and performance headlines. The role is interacting with multiple stakeholders within the broader Supply Chain Finance team to enable the relevant performance discussions in the Supply Chain Leadership team. The collaboration with different finance teams within the company is key, to align the operational month end procedures.
The Supply Chain Finance Analyst role should support the team to progress the Digital Finance agenda within Europe Supply Chain Finance. The aim is to improve processes in terms of speed, accuracy and simplicity and generating new capabilities to further improve performance management.
Hence, the candidate is required to develop a deep understanding of Supply Chain processes end-to-end while being able to translate this knowledge into value-focused improvement actions. Strong analytical skills are key to succeed in this role.
Based in Rotterdam, the SCF Analyst is responsible for:
Managing the core reporting processes of the European Supply Chain, including Actuals and Forecast
Coordinating information flow between Supply Chain Finance teams & holding them accountable for timeliness and quality of information
Re-engineer and simplify key Supply Chain Finance reporting processes
Continuous improvement of analytical tools to create better insights faster (e.g. leveraging PowerBI)
Support Digital Finance agenda within SC Finance, e.g. by implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in Month End procedures.
Center of expertise for Supply Chain Finance specific technical concepts and systems
Provide expertise and support in Supply Chain Finance projects
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
MSc degree in relevant Finance or Economics subject.
Min. +/- 3 years of working experience in Finance, working in Supply Chain Finance would be a plus.
Experience with PowerBI is highly valued.
A natural passion for understanding processes end-to-end and scrutinizing business results. Is biased towards actions that have the most tangible and significant impact to the business.
Reporting fundamentals: knowledge/experience in financial analytics, reporting and forecasting. Has experience with month end processes.
Excel / powerpoint skills required. Experience with reporting systems in large businesses helpful & experience in PowerBI is highly valued.
Relevant experience within Supply Chain Finance is a plus.
Rapidly absorbs new information, knowledge and applies new techniques, technology and procedures. Eager to learn and embrace Digital Finance thrust.
Hands-on mentality to ensure things get done and holding self & others accountable
Communication skills: able to present effectively and to translate technical results into business insights.
Networking skills: able to work remotely with numerous stakeholders and to develop with them collaborative relationships.
