    Business context and main job purpose
    The Superunie Account Manager Home and Personal Care (HPC) is responsible for about 6 Superunie members and contact and contracts with their Home and Personal Care Category Managers. He or she will report to Superunie Cluster Key Account Manager Home and Personal Care.

    He or she is accountable to generate USG growth in a profitable way. It’s crucial to determine a strategy for Superunie’s HPC cluster for next 3 years, this in conjunction with Marketing Manager and Business Operations Leader. On an annual basis: contracts need to be negotiated and agreed with Superunies banners.

    Main Responsibilities

    • End to end lead for annual contracts with about 6 banners for the HPC business

    • Develop the customer strategic business plan for his/her respective categories

    • Work out a joint customer business plan for his/her respective categories

    • Work in close collaboration with the Category Managers for the category input, and with customer marketing for the banner/channel plan

    • Develop optimal integrated promo plan (incl. selling the plan at the customer) and manage promo investments

    • Manage the customer P&L for his/her respective categories. Deliver the agreed plan, follow-up achievement of counterparts set in the agreement

    • Close the deal with the Customer by negotiating the trade terms, trade funding, and counterparts according to the UL strategy on his/her categories

    • Manage overall levels of Customer Investments for his/her category

    • Monitor Customer Performance by tracking customer contribution and market share for major categories

    • Act as active ambassador of Unilever at the customer and of the customer at Unilever

    • Participate actively to the account managers meetings, looking at the best solution for the business even if not in line for his/her customer


    Key Competencies

    • All standards of leadership - especially Bias for Action (can do and action/no debate mentality) and Accountability and Responsibility (performance driven leadership, high delivery standards, courage).

    • Able to work in cross functional teams. (Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance)

    • Strong consumer and customer focus / strong at customer contact.

    • Good negotiator: able to influence, also in informal decision structures.

    • A person that easily connects, loves to embark on consulting assignments and has high energy levels.

    • External Orientation (look outside Unilever; be innovative) and Entrepreneurial drive.

    • Ideally experience in HPC categories.

    • Project Management / strong analytical skills and well structured

    • Master’s degree is a plus.
