Purpose of the job
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Execute daily transport related operations for one of Samsung SDS’s key customers. Responsible for monitoring outbound operations, customer service and act as resolute problem solver. Be the first and main contact for carrier, warehouse operations, customer and their customers for day to day operations. Next to the daily operational tasks you are main contact person to guide operational changes based upon your tactical insight and knowledge.
Act as reliable and resolute back up in absence of team leader handling 1st & 2nd line escalations;
Improve customer service;
Manage/monitor all in-transit shipments together with contracted carriers;
Daily reporting about anomalies during transport towards customer;
Chase pending in-transit shipments together with carriers (IOD chasing);
Report/validate carrier KPI’s;
Arrange/prepare month end volume peaks with all stakeholders involved;
Analyze logistical bottlenecks and opportunities;
Translate logistical issues/problems into workable solutions;
Pro-actively act/inform customers on outbound progress;
Create weekly/daily forecast and act on outcome together with stakeholders;
Involvement in projects.
For this role we are looking for a candidate with a positive and enthusiastic mindset, passion for logistics and strong motivation. A person who will independently serve as main contact for Samsung SDS customer, has the capabilities to build up a strong relationship with all stakeholders involved and provide pro-active outstanding customer service. Our ideal candidate is a decisive and flexible problem-solver with a strong hands-on mentality that is used to work in teams, but can also work independently.
Logistics Bachelor/Master degree (at least common ground with Logistics)
Minimum 3 year of relevant experience, preferably within logistics service provider
Good Microsoft Excel skills
Healthy ambition to grow within the company
Curious, eager to learn and pro-active attitude
Constructive problem solving skills
Business English in speaking and writing
Ability to prioritize multiple requests and responsibilities in a fast paced environment
Team player, built and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders involved
