Sr. Tax Account Analyst

What you'll be a part of:
The Regional International Tax Analyst will be a part of the growing 10-member corporate tax team.
Position includes working with a local tax team of 3-5 tax professionals focused on tax planning and compliance for international direct and indirect taxes.
Duties include preparing International regional income tax compliance, global indirect tax compliance, and work in support center for US HQ tax initiatives including US tax reporting and compliance.
Directly reporting to the Regional International Senior Tax Manager and indirectly reporting to HQ Tax Department.
The Regional International Tax Analyst will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare tax reporting and provision of international entities.
Ensure that Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Value Added Tax (VAT) returns are prepared accurately and filed on a timely manner.
Work closely with the accounting team on the statutory financial statements.
Prepare foreign quarterly and yearly tax provisions and true ups.
Prepare quarterly / annual tax liability payments, tax estimates and arrange for on-time tax payments.
Prepare financial data and perform financial analysis and reports discrepancies.
Prepare Deferred Tax of International entities.
Assist in U.S. International compliance as necessary.
Assist in verifying Intercompany transactions and documentation.
Assist in executing and maintaining intercompany agreements.
Prepare timely updates on new tax laws and tax rates.
Prepare tax reconciliations.
Provide advice to business partners on WHT and other tax impacts.
Support international audits, projects and ad hoc tax projects.
Support continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of functions and processes i.e. VAT/WHT process, use of Excel or macro for reports.
About 5% of time traveling regionally and to the US.
Desired Skills and Experience
The Regional International Tax Analyst will be a qualified tax professional with experience in preparing income tax compliance, inter-company transactions, indirect tax compliance, and experience in or desire to learn US GAAP reporting for income taxes.
Specific requirements include:
Technical proficiency with principles of international direct and indirect taxation.
4 to 8 years tax experience in Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent multinational corporate tax department is preferred.
4yrs+ post qualified experience CPA / ACCA or relevant accounting/finance profession preferred.
Demonstrates high integrity and trustworthiness.
Must demonstrate strong English verbal and written communication skills.
Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast moving and complex situations.
Must have a flexible time schedule that allows regular overlap with international locations.
Strong analytical and computer (Excel) skills required.
Exhibits confidence in technical and business professionalism.
Team oriented and group contributor that facilitates collaboration.
Detail-oriented, motivated and a positive person.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
Experience in a high technology/software environment helpful, but not required.
Experience with US GAAP accounting will be an advantage.
Experience with SAP helpful, but not required.
