In this role, you have the opportunity to
In order to support Philips business growth identify strategic consumer and customer insights needs for growth opportunities and sets priorities/agenda accordingly to drive sustainable innovation in Personal Health part of organization. Proactively share insights with Business Marketing, Business and Market leaders to help them anticipate consumer and customer needs and develop powerful value propositions for new and existing products and solutions. Nurture a test and learn culture in our consumer and customer obsessed organization, while driving optimization and evidence-based business and marketing decision-making with experimentation. Drive increased adoption of intelligence information in for Business decision-making through the use of multiple communication tools/channels (i.e., presentations, newsletters, intranet, training and workshops) to drive consumer obsessions and data driven decision making. Collaborate with business and marketing leaders to drive understanding of the consumer / user. Enable Philips business growth by world class Innovation Insights development capabilities and drive thought leadership and adoption of innovative (AI powered) research tools to drive for real time insight development.
You are responsible for
Ensure that the Customer/Consumer is put at the heart of proposition development by bringing together all sources of consumer/customer/user feedback and distilling with research clear insights that ultimately lead to growth from the proposition being developed.
Brings a strong voice of the consumer/customer/user into the product development, launch and ongoing performance that lead to insight and actions that deliver growth
Delivery of winning propositions (incl solutions and services) leveraging past learning and becoming more predictive in driving for winning propositions.
Ensures application of state of the art research & insight tools and technologies (e.g. AI in insight generation) and orchestrates implementation of standardized tools to drive for efficiencies, optimization and learning.
Provides insights that support the ongoing development of propositions in accordance with the consumer/customer testing framework
Identifying user/customer needs, tensions and potential solutions that address those tensions together with marketers
Synthesize sources such as competitive intelligence, pricing, market/industry trends, customer/consumer needs to help inform the development of new propositions or to identify opportunity gaps within the portfolio
Spar with Marketers on developing winning propositions, acting as the voice of the consumer/customer/market in shaping the proposition road map
Lead primary research into customer/consumer needs using innovative techniques that allow Philips to know the customer/consumer better than anyone else (including foundational / range research)
Distill fundamental consumer/customer insights that stimulate ideas for growth
Seek together with the working team faster, higher quality and more cost effective ways of gaining consumer/customer insight
Defines consumer need spaces based upon consumer trends and fore-sighting, real time consumer insight generation and U&A and translates this into source of business opportunities (incl white spaces)
Identifies key consumer target audiences and segments
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
BSc/MSc degree in marketing, business or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Thought leadership in applying consumer insights methods and approaches
5-10 years of working experience, in consumer focused, complex, matrixed, multinational environment. Preferably with experience in consumer goods, online services, e-commerce, or mobile applications
High level of expertise in technical knowledge on emerging and innovative insights and analytics techniques, tools /platforms
Broad and deep research experience across qualitative, quantitative and agile research methods. Ability to reframe synthesized data & learnings into new frameworks to bring customer insights to life.
