Proactively share insights with Business Marketing, Business and Market leaders to help them anticipate customer needs and develop powerful value propositions for new and existing products and solutions. Nurture a test and learn culture in our customer obsessed organization, while driving optimization and evidence-based business and marketing decision-making with experimentation. Drive increased adoption of intelligence information in business decision-making through the use of multiple communication tools/channels (i.e., presentations, newsletters, intranet, training and workshops) and collaboration with Business and Marketing leaders to drive understanding of the customer / user. Enable Philips business growth via world class Innovation Insights, capability development, thought leadership, and adoption of innovative (AI powered) research tools to drive real-time insight development.
You are responsible for
Ensure that the Customer is put at the heart of proposition development by bringing together all sources of consumer/customer/user feedback and distilling with research clear insights that ultimately lead to growth from the proposition being developed.
Bring a strong voice of the consumer/customer/user into the product development, launch and ongoing performance that leads to insights and actions that deliver growth
Delivery of winning propositions (incl solutions and services), leveraging past learning and becoming more predictive in driving for winning propositions.
Ensure application of state of the art research and insight tools and technologies (e.g. AI in insight generation) and orchestrate implementation of standardized tools to drive for efficiencies, optimization and learning.
Provide insights that support the ongoing development of propositions in accordance with the consumer/customer testing framework
Identify user/customer needs, tensions and potential solutions that address those tensions together with Marketers
Synthesize sources such as competitive intelligence, pricing, market/industry trends, customer/consumer needs to help inform the development of new propositions or to identify opportunity gaps within the portfolio
Spar with Marketers on developing winning propositions, acting as the voice of the consumer/customer/market in shaping the proposition road map
Lead primary research into customer/consumer needs using innovative techniques that allow Philips to know the customer/consumer better than anyone else (including foundational / range research)
Distill fundamental consumer/customer insights that stimulate ideas for growth
Seek, together with the working team, faster, higher quality and more cost effective ways of gaining consumer/customer insight
Define audience, customer, buyer and user need spaces based upon economic, clinical and health economic trends and fore-sighting in close collaboration with MA&F and HEMA and translate this into opportunity spaces and source of business opportunities (incl white spaces)
Support Portfolio Marketing to identify and understand key audiences and segments across the HS Portfolio
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
BSc/MSc degree in marketing, business or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Thought leadership in applying customer insights methods and approaches
7+ years of working experience, in customer focused, complex, matrixed, multinational environment. Highly preferred to have experience in healthcare or medical device Marketing roles. Ability to navigate a matrixed, highly complex organization while building relationships & trust. Comfortable being resourceful, going out of their way and finding teammates who can help them achieve their results. Able to manage multiple stakeholders, agendas, and projects simultaneously.
High level of expertise in technical knowledge on emerging and innovative insights and analytics techniques, tools /platforms
Research, Analysis, and Problem Solving – foundational skill set in this role for qualitative and quantitative research and analyses. Must be adept at conducting desk research, aggregating and sifting through information from multiple sources to generate integrated reports and strategic insights.
Effective Communication – written and oral communication professionalism for senior audiences. Ability to listen and respond in a dynamic conversation to reach common understanding and alignment, regardless of initial viewpoints.
Guide and manage a consultant/outside vendor – translate business questions into a well-scoped project. Provide feedback to vendor’s work product and process to successfully and efficiently meet business needs.
