    Philips Male Grooming is the global market leader in Electric Male Shaving and Grooming, holding nr 1 market share positions across the world and a strong ambition to grow the market with innovation in both mature and emerging markets.

    As Sr. Consumer Marketing Manager in High-end Innovation you will help to drive the upstream product strategy for the assigned portfolio and define roadmap in new value spaces, business models. You help shaping mid/long term category vision, horizons and supporting key technology enablers and for upcoming launches translates a general product plan into clear detailed product specifications for development. Guides the project team in the execution phase of the PDLM. Drives the market introduction of the new product.

    You will balance strategic thinking and hands-on activity in an international business environment while taking innovation ideas through to product development and market introduction and driving marketing activation with the local markets.

    You are responsible for

    • You will translate in-depth market-, consumer-, shopper insights, as well as competitive analyses into winning concepts by defining product positioning. You will identify and optimize the winning concepts, to integrate them into strategic product roadmaps, and develop and bring the concept from idea to market.
      Drives upstream marketing activities for the given product range / solutions, including definition of the strategy and its enablers as well as its alignment with key markets globally.

    o Value proposition, mid-life update development based on customer insights,

    o Portfolio, Product & claims roadmaps

    o Business Case

    o Pricing (Price setting) and margin optimization

    o Channel Strategy for assigned product portfolio

    • Steer the product development (PDLM) process from start to end, taking initial ideas through to product development and market introduction.
    • Interact with various disciplines including Innovation, Technology & Development departments (Singapore), internal and external Design agencies, manufacturing units or external suppliers, marketing management, marketing communication and international sales organizations.
    • Help to extend the lifecycle of existing products by contributing with your marketing views and passion for the consumer
    • Interact on a regular basis with our marketing teams in key markets and ensure a successful product launch that fits with the local market needs

    You are a part of

    You will be part of the global team of Male Grooming Business Unit, part of global Philips Personal Health Cluster, liasing with marketers in various countries around the world. You may require (limited) travelling. You help coaching marketing interns, and marketing managers on the job and contribute to their professional development. You will be working in a network of various stakeholders based in the headquarters of Philips in The Netherlands (innovation & development experts, consumer marketing team, central communication team, market intelligence specialists) and in the Market Organizations mainly in Europe and USA (e.g. marketing specialists, key account managers).

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a Business Economics, Marketing, Strategic Product Design, Commerce, or related fields. An MBA is desired as a plus

    • 5-7 years of upstream and downstream marketing experience in global branded FMCG or durable consumer goods or high-tech healthcare products including new product introductions and life cycle management in a global or regional context. You have gained your experience from a similar regional/international position driving marketing and innovation plans in markets in Europe or America.

    • Experience with NPDs new product development and new product introductions. Ideally experience with connected propositions.

    • Clear understating and domain expertise of consumer insights in male personal care, male grooming or shaving.

    • Experience of consumer market research and market intelligence

    • Understanding of retail market dynamics , having dealt with product promotions, trade marketing, shopper marketing activations, product launches and/or marketing communications to drive business results and growth.

    • Knowledge and ability to apply value based pricing to optimize and manage a portfolio of products

    • Demonstrated that you can think conceptually from a broad business perspective taking both strategic as well as operational aspects into consideration. You can steer and guide our local country organizations in executing business plans.

    • Excellent analytic and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders both externally and internally.

    • International mindset and the ability to talk efficiently to different people in different countries.

    • Understanding of new business models which can be enabled via Digital Marketing

    • Fluent English; other European languages are a plus
