    Sr. Cost Architect Re Use

    Job Mission

    The Lifecycle Cost and Value management group focusses on structural improvements to increase ASML’s profitability. Means of optimization are improving the Value for our customers and/or reducing the cost of our products and services.

    Job Description

    • The Sr. Cost Architect ReUse is an expert and partner of Development and Engineering, sourcing and the project teams for Re Use optimization of products and service in all phases of their lifecycle.
    • The Sr. Cost Architect ReUse focusses on:
      • Creating predictive models for Excess and Obsolescence (E&O)
      • Create/maintain E&O heat map
      • Drive for Re Use as risk mitigation for functions and designs
      • Root cause analysis of E&O and manage E&O to cross sector owners
      • Review and challenge Designs for re-manufacturability and disposal cost
      • Investigate the Re-use/harvesting possibilities and create business case
    • Define targets for Re Use and Excess and obsolescence risks
    • Create predictive models related to Re Use
    • Train the D&E community on ReUse methods like Total Cost of Waste calculations and E&O forecast
    • Report on financial risk in NPI programs
    • Challenge Design teams to improve on Reuse (workshops, idea generation sessions)
    • Gather best practices (feedback loop)
    • Initiation of Value Engineering workshops and identification of Re Use optimization opportunities in cross-functional collaboration with project teams, technical experts, procurement and suppliers
    • Leading Value Engineering Re Use activities for selected key projects
    • Maintain network with internal and external partners

    Education

    • Master or Bachelor in technical study, combined with financial interest or on-top study.

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in product architecture, product design and industrialization
    • Experience in cost structure analysis, product cost optimization, cost driver analysis and target costing
    • Being familiar with circular economy methods and processes
