Sr Central Operations Manager (Driver & Rider Operations), EMEA
About the Role
Ops leads our vision, strategy, execution and tactics for both Rider and Driver Operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Operations is all about running our business on the ground and helping our riders and driver partners get the most out of Uber's platform.
The Rider and Driver Ops team is expanding and looking for someone to join our team that will own projects across the whole experience. You will be responsible for rider or driver growth, experience and retention across EMEA, making sure that we offer our riders and drivers a delightful experience. You will also be responsible for working with our analytics and automation team and the global Product teams, in order to build out and lead the necessary tools, processes and workflows, bringing Uber's operations in EMEA to the next level.This role will involve cross-functional collaboration across product, cities, finance, marketing, tax, legal and customer support.
We are looking for an exceptional project manager with intimate product understanding, who is able to coordinate across all the key partners to deliver a successful mega-regional strategy and execution plan. The ideal candidate possesses superb analytical skills, and is also passionate about engaging senior partners, working with cross-functional groups and driving large-scale project management, execution and impact!
What You'll Do
Help design and execute the vision, strategy and tactics for our rider or driver operations in EMEA
Formulate, manage, implement and monitor the rollout of our operational strategy, frameworks, tactics and processes
Analyse our rider or driver base to inform our strategy and focus
Build and run operational processes, and support with process automation
Help problem-solve complex issues (e.g. rider or driver segmentation)
Lead cross-functional projects, collaborating closely with other functions within Uber including Marketing, CRM, Community Operations, Product, Legal and local teams
Act as a thought partner for local teams across EMEA
Engage with HQ product teams to represent our markets and design new products
Experiment with local markets to innovate on our operations
What You'll Need
At least 4 years of proven experience in one or more of: Business Operations, Product Operations, Marketing (Analytics) or Strategy Operations.
An undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
Demonstrated ability to lead and project manage initiatives in a fast-paced work environment.
Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
Experience in building dashboards and querying data in SQL and Google Sheets / Excel.
Strategic & operational problem solving and creativity - you are able to design solutions that scale to multiple markets
Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills - you are able to rally people behind a common goal, easily generate consensus if you're facing push back and work in a complex matrix organisation
You are comfortable dealing with uncertainty in a constantly-changing work environment
