    Senior Business Rules Specialist

    As Senior Business Rules Specialist at Travix, your main responsibility is to help Travix stay up-to-date with changing market conditions and customer needs, through improving existing business rules and developing new business logic for our pricing platform.

    You will be talking to various teams regularly to understand the business requirements, and achieve company goals through your work on the rules engine. You will work alongside our pricing team to develop business logic to improve profitability and sales performance. You will work with product and air support teams to ensure compliance with airline and industry requirements. You will work with our engineers to support new feature rollout, and to understand and improve how our business rules should be implemented. You will also be talking to our finance team to help improve data accuracy and reporting.

    In this role, you’ll be contributing to several major projects at any given time, and serve as a critical link between commercial and tech/product..

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ownership of all our business rules engines, and the algorithms that sit within them
    • Develop, test and maintain business logic to manage our products and features
    • Engage with business users to improve our existing business rules application
    • Collaborate closely with technology and business stakeholders to tailor business logic to achieve company goals
    • Main lead for agreeing on rules structure, working with a junior rules specialist


    • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field, courseworks in Economics, Statics, Algorithms, and Logic preferred
    • Data driven, strong attention to details, and good analytical skills
    • 1 year experience with coding in any statistical programming language (R, Python), advance languages a plus but not required (C, Java)
    • Experience with any Business Rules Management System is a plus
    • Ability to interpret and simplify complex business requirements and discuss them with various stakeholders
    • Team player who enjoys working in a fast paced team atmosphere
    • Be ready to present your results with other stakeholders
    • Proactive to liaise with other stakeholders (cross functionally)
    • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and commitments
    • Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving and changing business priorities
    • Fluent written and spoken English is essential
    • Flexible, independent, can-do mentality, ambitious, passionate, self starter, and eager to make an impact
    • Strong curiosity about how things work, and keen to challenge the status quo
