    Sous Chef | FT | NH Utrecht

    Sitting in the heart of the Central Station Area, the NH Utrecht hotel is a contemporary high rise not far from the Utrecht Central train station. One of the tallest buildings in Utrecht, the hotel provides guests with stunning cityscape views. The Jaarbeurs Convention Center is located nearby, and Amsterdam is a short 30 minutes away. There are 276 light and bright guest rooms. Each has a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, and coffee and tea machines. For guests who enjoy more spacious accommodation, our Junior Suites have a separate sitting area. A tasty and filling breakfast buffet is offered each morning in our ground floor restaurant. Guests are also welcome to request made-to-order hot dishes or an early bird breakfast. Delicious Dutch cuisine is also served in our hotel restaurant, with an à la carte menu and vegetarian options available. On the 4th floor is our compact gym which is open daily. NH Utrecht has an astonishing 31 meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 240 people. Four of the rooms are on the top floor and offer fantastic city views. Our proximity to the train station means that our lobby and bar are also popular for meetings and interviews.
    What will you do?
    As a Sous Chef you are the driving force behind the kitchen team! You get the best out of your team members and provide a culinary experience for every guest. You support the Executive Chef in various projects to improve processes in the kitchen. In addition, you actively participate in the cooking, improve or renew recipes and support in activities such as making the work schedules, complying with and checking hygiene procedures, managing the kitchen stock, and making new orders. You contribute to changes to the menu and to the development of recipes and calculations.

    Who are you?

    • You are an experienced Sous Chef with a passion for products, dishes and you enjoy leading a team.
    • You already have managerial experience in the kitchen of a restaurant or hotel.
    • You are an enthusiastic team player; your energetic appearance is contagious!
    • You get energy from delivering a great experience for guests
    • You are ready for the next step in your career. You feel at home in the kitchen and can't wait to show your talents as a Sous Chef in all areas.
    • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language.
