    Software Engineer (Test experience)

    What you’ll do

    API Management is responsible for authentication, authorization, accounting and directing calls to the correct back end for the TomTom Maps API products.

    The API Management team is looking for an engineer that can help decrease deployment failures by increasing the quality of the deployment process in addition to the continued evolution of the system. The candidate will be expected to drive team members to sufficiently testing functional areas and have experience with integration tests. Driving change to improve test coverage to improve the product validation while deploying will be key to the success of the team. This candidate should have proven experience doing so.

    What you’ll need

    • A background in software engineering in a highly available environment

    • Hands-on experience with the design and implementation of tests

    • Ability to analyze integrations to source of change that caused an issue + impact (good root cause analysis)

    • Experience implementing using different scripting languages (Bash, Python, Golang)

    • Persistence to ensure automated tests supply sufficient coverage

    • Experience connecting multiple or complex systems and testing them

    • A positive and open approach, we want you to have a voice and bring in new ideas and solutions

    • Fast learner, flexible, can independently work and make good decisions, team player, and adaptable to change

    Nice to have

    • Familiarity with improving quality of cloud services (self-healing, automate everything)

    • Making test results visible and comparing them to quality metrics to determine whether to release or not

    • Using code repositories for version control, code reviews and test runs
