    Software Engineer DataCap

    Imagine…
    Imagine being responsible for the development of a new, automated Trade Solution for Sanction Scanning within the Area Special Payment Solutions of Tribe Payments.
    A responsibility with impact, which you will shape as a software engineer by implementing "rule-based" improvements in the software package purchased for this purpose. This package is a solution from IBM that uses Optical Character Recognition to classify relevant documents and extract data fields from business documents for international trade. You can make the difference here by, on the one hand, improving this solution hands-on and, on the other hand, by helping to shape the future.

    We are looking for a software engineer to join the Datacap team with experience in rule-based coding of an application and experience in OCR, Optical Character Recognition.

    Making a difference

    • You are responsible for the development of the application DataCap. In bi-weekly sprints you will work with your team to manage, refine, develop, test and implement software.

    • You have experience with rule-based coding and OCR, Optical Character Recognition and preferably master C#. Knowledge of Linux and FileNet is a plus.

    • You have a hands-on mentality, but are also not afraid to think along in a broader perspective about the future stability of the application and implement improvements that are necessary for that. For this you are technically well versed.

    • Communication and cooperation are your keywords; both within the team and externally. The basic application and infrastructure are managed by another department, for which communication and cooperation are important factors within this function. There is also close coordination with the end users. For this you are able to translate the feedback from the end users into technical solutions.

    • You are analytically strong and can quickly learn new things.

    With each other
    We work together at the Rabobank. Our Area Special Payment Solutions joins forces to provide state of the art solutions for our corporate customers. We offer solutions for international cash management, such as Trade services and Multibank availability.

    The team consists of a product owner, software engineer, ops engineer, business analyst and besides DataCap also deals with data migration from the old trade systems to the new trade systems. Besides cooperating within this team, you work closely together with the team that is responsible for the basic application and the infra, with the end user and other trade systems that use the output of DataCap.

    With your talents
    That customer orientation, a learning and knowledge-sharing attitude and a focus on results are indispensable for this position of Software Engineer is logical. In addition, it is important that you recognize yourself in the following points

    • You have a HBO or WO working and thinking level;

    • Completed education in a relevant field (IT);

    • Relevant experience with Agile/SCRUM projects in the ICT and financial sector;

    • Experience with the IT landscape in the financial sector;

    • Participating in the Man of the Day schedule, along with other ops and software engineers;

    • Willingness to participate in a standby schedule (24 x 7) in the long term;

    • You are able to pick up new things quickly and make them your own and have excellent analytical skills;

    • Experience with Azure DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tooling and is a plus.
