    Software Developer/ eBase System Engineer (m/f/d) full/part time

    Business Area (BA) Markets is now looking for the right person to fill the position as a Software Developer/ eBase System Engineer (m/f/d) reporting to the Manager of Integration and Forecasting Infrastructure in Operational Unit (OU) Operations.
    The location of this position is flexible (Amsterdam/Hamburg). The position can be filled both on a full-time and part-time basis.Your availability in part time should be at least 26 hours per week.

    As eBase System Engineer (m/f/d) in OU Operations, Business Infrastructure Markets IT you will be part of an motivated Scrum Team with high autonomy. In our team we support our customers (Forecasting Team as well as Transition and Position Management team) to our utmost.     Our successful candidate has a university degree in Information Technology, Engineering or other related field with a minimum of two years of overall IT software development and IT operations experience. Basic commodity/energy trading knowledge or a financial trading background are of benefit. Have a strong command in English, both verbally and written. Is looking utilizing scrum and agile development methods and continuous process enhancement through operational excellence.
    Your key responsibilities:
    • Operate the eBase System and components around as well as support our customers by creating customized processes and services with scripts
    • Offering fast & efficient solutions for our demanding business
    • Teaming up with other (non-IT) experts to deliver based on priority
    Your personal characteristics:
    • You are trustworthy, have a high-level of integrity and able to work independently using initiative
    • You have good collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information and set the clear expectations for different stakeholders
    • You are experienced and like to analyze complex business and IT issues,
    • Experienced with identifying business requirements, developing, testing and delivering solutions
    • Fast learner and early adopter of new business and technological developments and entrepreneurship
    • You are a team player and preferably you already worked in agile teams
    • Interested in renewable energy management and big data challenges
    Your qualifications:
    • University degree or equal qualification, preferably computer science oriented.
    • Able to identify and challenge business requirements, translate them to user stories and identify and compare different solution options.
    • You have proven experience in developing applications, functions services in programming language as Python, Matlab, R, OutSystems or Java.
    • You are familiar with time series management and energy market processes like allocation management, portfolio management, long term and short term forecasting,
    • Ideally you already made some experiences with eBase
    • Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written
