TenneT is making a major contribution to ensure that offshore wind farms are connected to the onshore high-voltage grid. These efforts are aimed at realizing the government’s vision of an accelerated transition to a sustainable energy supply. TenneT is fully committed to develop, build and manage grid connections from offshore wind farms to the onshore transmission grid. Grid Service Offshore is the Service Provider for these grid connections.
In 2020, the first two Dutch offshore substations, Borselle Alpha and Beta became operational. In 2022, we expect to enlarge our assets with 2 new additional 700 MW AC offshore substations following with 4 more from 2022 through 2026. Within Grid Field Operations, which is a cross border organisation, an Operations and Maintenance department is set up for the Dutch offshore assets.Grid Field Operations Offshore is currently looking for a dedicated SHE Coördinator.
Your contribution to TenneT
The SHE Coördinator ensures license to Operate, Identify, Monitor and analyse Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) issues and add value by using SHE indicators to improve processes.The SHE Coördinator provides SHE leadership, experts advice and supports to the members of the team and the leads. The SHE Coördinator develops, implements and maintains effective SHE Management Systems which meet customer, regulatory and TenneT needs. The SHE Coördinator drives the TenneT strategy and policy on SHE.
The SHE Coördinator is responsible in cooperation with the team for the day to day operational support to execute the work on the different platforms of several Grid Connection Systems and supports the area teams in SHE related topics, assessments, preparation and questions on the maintenance and operations work packages to execute. The work packages are f.e. executed by the Area itself, by subcontractors or by 3rd parties. Furthermore cooperates in operational readiness preparation of new assets and as SHE Coördinator acts as SPOC to the full SHE organization which supplies different specialisms to specific Area needs.
The SHE Coordinator reports directly to the Lead Execution of Grid Field Operations Offshore Area West.
Main tasks and responsibilities the SHE Coördinator include:
responsible for supporting the organization in order to improve health and safety and to minimize the impact on the environment;
execution of incident investigation, preparation of necessary reports, actively following up establishing of lesson’s learned;
supporting the Grid Connection Managers, OIMs and team in daily operations and preparation of executable work packages on the platforms;
supporting operational readiness and executing tasks to ensure a safe environment and procedures for the new assets;
key contact within the area for any SHE related topics/questions;
-close alignment with GFO-O-SHE to support continuous improvement of SHE guidelines and ensuring an up-to-date knowledge concerning SHE requirements within the area;
supporting the Area Head and Execution team Leads with internal revision/audits to ensure compliance with SHE guidelines and processes;
ensuring that emergency arrangements are established at all locations in an area and supporting the area that they are known and understood by employees and external contractors; organization and coordination of SHE inspections within the area (at least one per year per facility);
providing required input data in order to derive the relevant SHE KPI and reporting information;
responsible for active sharing of best practices, lessons learned and safety alerts among the projects and works.
Your Profile and background
You have relevant experience in Safety, Safety or Environmental Technology, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or comparable experience;
You have 'MVK' or similar degree;
You have relevant experience working in the Offshore/Maritime surrounding;
You have relevant experience with offshore health, safety and environment systems;
You have knowledge of the national Dutch regulations regarding Safety, Health and Environment;
You have knowledge of offshore regulatory conditions and legislation;
You have relevant experience in preparation of SHE procedures;
You have relevant knowledge and experience in occupational safety and environmental protection;
You have language skills in both Dutch and English, verbal and in writing, at Level B2 (confident) or higher.
