    Job Mission

    The Service Planning Expert is responsible to contribute and provide stocking proposals of spare parts and tools whilst balancing material availability vs cost of service. This is done in a context of low volumes and with limited data availability, hence the value of the usage of expert/user insights.


    Job Description

    Primary
    • Support/lead approval of budget release and approval of spare stocking strategy in the field. Balancing the need to meet customer service level agreement vs. risk of obsolescence due to potential re-designs.
    • Participate in stocking update cycles by reviewing model output and enriching with qualitative Development & Engineering knowledge. Taking historical usage, expected usage, install base growth, sequence duration, product specific parameters into account to ensure proper safety stock and re-order points.
    • Drive/lead improvements via lean methodology.
    • Advice in service planning decisions during Bill of Material Change process. Applying a wide range of procedures about what needs to be done in specific situations using established frameworks and select appropriate route via own judgement.
    Secondary
    • Ad hoc support in calculations used at the beginning of the product generation process. This involves first forecast of tools expected for a new product to determine if high volume targets can be met.
    • Ad hoc support/lead to ensure a proper spare (parts and tools) list during detailed design phase.
    • Ad hoc support in handover of budget and spare planning responsibility at release for volume moment to CSCM sub sector.
    • Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of basic periodical and ad hoc reports/analysis.
    • Specify, (co)develop, use and maintain instruments like procedures and work instructions regarding Service Planning.
    • Build and maintain a network and represent PLM interests towards stakeholders within and outside PLM and S&SC.

    Education

    MSc in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain / Logistics


    Experience

    • MSc with work experience between 2-5 years
    • We are looking for a professional with adequate knowledge in methods and techniques used in Service Planning; and have profound knowledge of the theoretical background.
    • Experience in planning, logistics processes and quality in a high-tech, low-volume environment, ramping-up new products is a pre

    Context of the position

    Sourcing & Supply Chain Management (S&SC) is responsible for all inbound and outbound flows to and from the factory. The holder of this position reports to the Manager Product Lifecycle Management in EUV and will be allocated to various projects. The team consist out ~12 persons of which 3 are Service Planning Expert. Strong interfaces exist with Development & Engineering Parts and Tools teams and regular supply chain departments such as Customer Supply Chain Management. We hire for our new EXE5000, NXE3800 products and large upgrades mainly.
