    Job Description

    In this role, you have the opportunity to:

    Transform Philips Service Education through the design of roles-based learning journeys to enable our internal field service staff, external partners and our biomedical engineer customers in the corrective and preventative maintenance of our health care devices and solutions.

    You are responsible for:

    • Work cooperatively with subject matter experts to create engaging learning activities using a macro- and micro-view of the learning journey, with a strong focus on remote and distance learning.
    • Gather and document requirements for learning products and identify materials such as quick step guides, learning services checklists, delivery specialist/instructor guides
    • Outline course and/or modular content and participate in storyboarding and the creation of education content
    • Create consistent, streamlined learning services using common company style, standards and development tools
    • Draw upon a working knowledge of integrating multi-media, advanced simulations and other learning activities to effectively teach concepts and technical/clinical skills supported by a documented instructional design
    • Design, create and populate course materials in the Learning Management System (LMS) and perform tests to make sure it is functional.
    • Continuously use evaluation feedback to improve program performance.
    • Participate in maintenance of our ISO 9001 Course Development Process, guide development through the process, participate in audits, and work to resolve any resulting CAPAs
    • Maintain a current skill set and continuously research effective learning options, tools, best practices, and industry trends

    You are a part of:

    The Services and Solutions Delivery, Service Education Programs Team. As an individual contributor you will work within a team of Instructional Designers and will be assigned one or more businesses to assist in their curriculum design. This is a highly motivated team that operates in an open atmosphere, characterized by a self-directed mindset, prioritizing your focus areas after consulting with various stakeholders. You will collaborate with a global team requiring flexibility in aligning various time zones.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

    • 2+ years’ experience in the instructional design domain with hands-on experience building learning programs
    • A bachelor’s degree in education, ideally Instructional Design, or related field
    • Skilled in adult learning methodologies (including ADDIE) and a variety of tested learning theories.
    • Experience with a Learning Management Systems (LMS)
    • Confident use of learning development tools (MS Office Suite, Articulate Storyline 360, etc.)
    • Strong project management skills and experience
    • Must have excellent organizational and written communication skills.
