What you will do:
The Strategic Key Account Manager serves as Johnson Controls’ authorized interface for some of our largest global existing and target customers with centralized decision making. You will be one of the business development sales leads for the global strategic account team covering all solution-areas of Industrial Refrigeration.
You will be stationed in the Netherlands and report to the Director of Strategy and Business growth for IREF. You will be expected to work effectively with peers, create / update on a quarterly basis, share strategic target account plans, as well as hold quarterly business progress and pipeline reviews in order to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.
This role is designed to support the Global Enterprise Account Sales agenda and focus on Johnson Controls’ key strategic customers in order to maintain our existing market share and drive growth through the expansion of our solutions and services within our target accounts. You can expect up to 50 % travel across the globe.
How you will do it:
Work with Johnson Controls business units and geographical regions to determine which existing customers may have the potential to become global enterprise accounts and then qualify their global potential as well as build the necessary internal and client relationships to expand our existing business relationships globally.
Target multinational companies in specific vertical segments through effective prospecting / targeting, qualifying and relationship development.
Build and maintain internal relationships within sales, operations and service functional areas as well as coordinate with numerous internal contacts in all regions of the world to ensure successful pre- and post-sales support of our client’s needs.
Passionately sell the organization’s strategy with a strong focus on the refrigeration sector with added value of heat recovery.
Continuously raise expectations of sales performance; develop the contractual part and economic models; as well as encourage and support team efforts to achieve and exceed challenging sales goals.
Create and execute influence strategies that gain commitment and organizational buy-in for customer solutions, as well as persuade key stakeholders to act by demonstrating how the work will advance shared interests and business goals.
Use knowledge of economic, financial, market, and industry trends to understand and improve customer results, as well as use your understanding of major business functions, industry trends, and your own organization’s position to contribute to effective business strategies and/or tactics.
What we look for:
5+ years of sales/business development experience within energy solutions.
Proven track record in negotiating and closing large agreements with stakeholders on Director level.
The technical inclination to build an in-depth knowledge of technology roadmaps and digital strategies.
Collaborative mindset with a high degree of passion, enthusiasm, and an urgency for achieving revenue targets.
Preferred: Min. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or similar.
Knowledge of the refrigeration and heat pump technology and markets.
