The Senior Treasury Operations Specialist is responsible for the development, improvement and execution of Philips Corporate Treasury related business processes and operational activities, often in cooperation with colleagues from neighbouring disciplines. As you operate in the playfield between Treasury, IT, implementation partners, programme management, business and outsourced business service providers , this role requires a sound knowledge and experience with treasury processes, treasury IT systems (mainly SAP FSCM), payment processing via SWIFT and banking, combined with Project and Change management skills and continuous improvement mind set.
You are responsible for
Operate, manage and develop the treasury operations, including the relevant processes and IT systems/tools,
Execution of Treasury Operations activities covering all Treasury operational areas,
Subject matter expert role for Treasury products, services and processes,
Serve internal customers as part of center of expertise in all Treasury operational areas,
Advise the Head of Treasury Operations on treasury policy and directives,
Ensure a solid, well-designed and operating control framework in compliance with SOX/internal control standards,
Development, improvement and implementation of Philips Treasury related business processes, often in cooperation with colleagues from neighboring disciplines,
Continuous process improvement of Treasury related processes,
Establish and maintain bank relationships relevant for the scope of activities, manage and oversee related bank documentation, testing and after care,
Coordinate the project implementation in close cooperation with the business,
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise,
Resolve operational escalations when process issues arise,
Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
You are a part of
The Treasury Operations department is responsible for the operational activities within Corporate Treasury. Philips Corporate Treasury department is well advanced, using latest technologies and perceived best in class compared to other large global companies. Treasury Operations covers global cash & bank account management, central payment factory & in-house bank services, treasury settlements and static data management. Most outgoing payments and all cash managed for Philips worldwide are routed through the Treasury Operations department based in Amsterdam and therefore this is a key department in Philips. You will be reporting to the Team Lead of Treasury Operations.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor finance education with at least 5 years relevant experience,
Knowledge and working experience in Treasury or Finance, particularly inside financial institution (bank, insurance co) or other corporate treasury department,
Strong change management mindset and capabilities,
Experience with managing projects in international complex environments,
Customer service attitude with intercultural sensitiveness,
Good analytical skills and process ownership capabilities,
Good communicator in a matrix setting,
Excellent command of English (both verbal and written),
Reporting, analytical and numerical skills,
Basic knowledge of financial instruments,
Operational knowledge of SAP,
Tangible experience with managing operations in an environment highly dependent on IT systems,
Intermediate Excel skills.
