That’s where The Studio comes in. Our in-house team of designers, art directors and developers make sure everything we do looks and feels fantastic. As guardians of the WeTransfer brand, The Studio oversees everything we put out into the world, shaping the core building blocks of our products and all of our communications. From bespoke commercial campaigns for clients like Nike, Apple and Kenzo, to creative collaborations with artists like Bjork, Ryan McGinley and FKA Twigs, The Studio knows how to harness the unique power of our platform.
For any of these projects to happen, we need to be a well-oiled studio, held together by a Senior Traffic Manager who is driven by efficiency and dedication. You’ll oversee the planning, resourcing and deliverables of a busy studio (30-40 people) and client teams (AdSales, Marketing, PR and Product) in Los Angeles, New York and Amsterdam with your expertise of project traffic and workflow. In other words: you’ll be the Studio’s gatekeeper. You understand the specific skill sets involved in creative and production processes for digital, you will work with designers, developers, copywriters and our project managers together to take WeTransfer to the next level. You have a strong work ethic and can speak fluent “creative” and know how to navigate difficult conversations with high value stakeholders. Maybe you’ve even once said that “problems are only challenges waiting to be solved”. When faced with unpredictable deadlines, you have patience, make decisions, and a sense of humor. But above all, you take pride in the projects and quality of the work we are doing.
What you will be doing:
Responsible for managing the Studio’s capacity: both the internal and the external resources
Ensure that project flows efficiently through the Studio from the initial brief to completion of a project
Able to independently value projects on feasibility, provide clear feedback and status updates to all stakeholders and is not afraid to push back
Connect daily with coordinators from other teams
Brief and manage designers and developers
Set up tooling and process to make sure we can anticipate on the needs of our clients and provide clarity on feasibility to all stakeholders at any time
Supports Project Lead and Studio PMs with daily operations
Owner of Wrike maintenance of workload schedules (based on holidays), keeping an eye on the general hygiene of the tool
First contact of Studio requests
Assess briefs on creative and business opportunity, SLA, guidelines, and resourcing feasibility
Daily resource overview and planning
Informing Head of Studio and Team Leads on needed future skills and resources
Monitor and assess studio capacity against delivery timelines in order to effectively allocate tasks and projects across the team
Expose and proactively rectify bottlenecks in the production workflow with key stakeholders
Manage Studio workload, resources and timelines together with Producers/ PM's.
Main contact freelancers and third parties
Reviewing workloads to make sure the work is assigned in a healthy cadence (avoiding too many deadlines for creatives)
Maintain good relationship with all internal and external resources
Facilitate sessions to stay up to date on skills and developments from resources and the industry
PM certification: Prince2, Agile (not required but nice to have)
Deep dive in creative skills: design, development
Product / Sales management
Maintain Project overview all Studio // managing BU calendar for future forecasting
Manages Studio Calendar (G call), import from Hibob, managers freelancer calendar
On and off boarding of new team members (perm and freelance)
Making sure everyone is set up with the right tools
Evaluations and training of 3rd parties
What you bring to the table
7-10 years experience as a Traffic Manager
A digital background, ideally from the agency world
Mastery with standard project management procedures and tools
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Detail-oriented, highly organized and natural multi-tasker
The ability to work fully independently
A positive and proactive attitude and the ability to enforce deadlines
Someone with a passion for digital media
Excellent English is a must-have
