    Senior Test Automation Engineer – SSIT

    The Senior Test Automation Engineer is member of the System Software Integration and Test (SSIT) group. The group supports software development teams in integrating software components, troubleshooting, test management, automation and execution.

    The Senior Test Automation Engineer combines technical and organizational responsibilities and is one of the executors of the test automation vision. This implies working together with the team to ‘design and implement’ new testcases. Furthermore it includes alignment with the software development community (SW architects, tech leads, SW engineers and testers) as well as managerial stakeholders.

    The assignment is a mixture of the following activities:

    • Design and implement automated test cases (core activity)
    • Plan, manage and coordinate sprint-based test automation team activities via the backlog;
    • Coordinate automatic installations of SW baselines on R&D systems, result analysis and identification of follow-up actions;
    • Coordinate design, programming and maintenance of the system level test interface that enables automatic SW installations and automated system testing;
    • Provide technical leadership, direction and hands-on assistance to other members of the team
    • Act as the entry point for system level test automation related issues;
    • Identify and follow-up on opportunities to improve;
    • Mentors other test engineers in test automation best practices and adherence to overall testing strategy
    • Identify issues / bottlenecks in the infrastructure domain of the test environment;

    Specific requirements:

    • Agile mindset;
    • Team player with strong communication skills;
    • Experience with Python, C++ and COM;
    • Experience with tool chain that includes Jira, Git, Jenkins;

    Position requirements

    The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

    • Typically requires, BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related technical discipline;
    • Proven experience in SW development in Python
