    Senior Technician/ Scientist (BSc) for the function contract manager (Yacht Life Sciences)

    The contract manager is asked to assist in the operations of the Preclinical Immunology team, including requesting contracts based on quotes provided by Service providers (CRO’s) in our contract request system and the follow-up of the request until the contract is in place, management of study budgets (Purchase Orders (PO’s), and provide contracting support to the other teams within Janssen Vaccines & Prevention B.V. wherever needed if possible (workload wise).

    The viral vaccine department is working on the discovery, early and late development of vaccines for viral infectious diseases and non-infectious diseases. The Preclinical Viral Vaccines team focuses on the evaluation and characterization of novel vaccine candidates in vivo. The focus of the team is the discovery process from pre-clinical immunology to in vivo proof of concept of various novel vaccine leads and to provide for clinical development essential non-clinical characterization of the vaccine leads. The team works in cross-functional discovery and clinical development teams.
    For the Viral Vaccine Preclinical Immunology team, we are looking for a highly motivated senior technician/ scientist (BSc) for the function of contract manager.

    • Bachelor or Master degree in a life science related field;
    • 3-5 years of experience working in an academic or biotechnology/pharmaceutical environment as technician, scientist or as a contract manager.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
    • Eye for detail and affinity with administration and numbers is a pre;
    • Good communication skills with different stakeholders;
    • Knowledge of immunology and virology is a preference;
