Senior Technical Program Manager - Deployment Manager

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (Deployment of Asset Management) to join our core infrastructure team at our Amsterdam headquarters. We are investing in implementing a best-of-class asset management platform to implement a sustainable, single source of truth asset management solution, where all assets are recorded and managed throughout their lifecycle; which meet Booking.com’s regulatory obligations and external demands whilst delivering our business objectives.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be an active contributor tothe implementation and operationalization of the asset management and ITSM platform supporting technical execution, delivery, and release management.
You will have considerable exposure to senior technology stakeholders, making a significant impact on our strategic technology transformation. You will have the technical background to understand the rationale and ‘why’ behind technology choices, launches and decisions, collaborating closely with product and technical teams.
You should be comfortable with ambiguity with a desire to create, iterate, and improve. You will need to be a smart risk taker who can deliver big ideas as well as transform them into scalable programs. Leading and navigating cross-functional efforts should come naturally, together with partnering with teams to synthesize a variety of technologies and capabilities into high-quality simple products and features.
Partner with leaders and development teams to build and launch new products, features and programs
Work with product and technical teams on asset management implementation
Own and execute complex plans
Align product vision with technology/architectural design
Lead teams through influence from ideation to execution
Define projects, collect requirements, write functional and test specifications
Coordinate the program/project scope, schedule and deployment
Support and enable research to help define opportunity/customer requirements
5 years+ in program management working directly with software development teams
Able to bridge between product (business and customer value) and how it relates to tech development
Handle simultaneous priorities
Project delivery for large, cross-functional projects
Strong ability to influence across multiple teams
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations
Deliver with an agile methodology (SCRUM, RUP, XP)
Operate successfully in an ambiguous environment
Able to communicate what managed services are, and how they will help their product development
Prior experience with AWS is an advantage but not essential
