In IT Services we design, build and maintain all of the corporate technology our Booking.com workforce needs day-to-day, so they can in-turn deliver great products to our customers.
This includes, for instance; SaaS applications, Identity, SSO, collaboration tools, productivity suites, communication platforms, endpoints, laptops, VDI solutions, video conferencing, voice infrastructure, Wi-Fi connectivity, VPN, ITSM and a plethora of other bespoke developed applications.
Booking’s IT Services organization is seeking a sharp, talented and energetic Senior Systems Analyst to build out and support our IT systems, including analyzing system requirements and addressing any relevant problems. You will provide standard testings’ and provide solutions to provide high levels of performance and security.
You should be able to examine and evaluate current systems and translate system requirements across internal and external stakeholders into high quality IT systems.
To ensure smooth and safe operations of our systems your responsibilities will include maintaining and upgrading systems as needed, troubleshooting technical issues, risk mitigation, creating system guidelines and manuals and conducting regular reviews of reports on efficiencies and improvement areas.
You will collaborate with vendors, project leads, business functions and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure solutions are viable and consistent supporting prioritization of business requirements and planning.
This role will focus specifically on CMS (Contract Management System), an area we want to add investment and modernisation, accelerated by our recent purchase of Conga, a leading contract lifecycle management solution.
We would like the Senior Systems Analyst to be responsible for end-to-end ownership of the product. Joining now in our initiation phase you would have an opportunity to get up to speed and familiarise yourself with the challenges presented.
The initiative will bring a single source of truth for our commercial contracts, bringing over 6 million dispersed contracts spread across several systems securely into one robust platform, for use across several business areas. You will help underpin processes, centralise technologies and reduce pain points for our business partners.
You will have the opportunity to bring clear benefits to the platform and our users, like clear auditing and traceability, seamless maintenance, improved search, clarity between billing and commercial terms, automated workflows and a central knowledge base of standards and templates.
End-to-end ownership of a successful highly distributed, large scale platform that has a major impact on the internal and external users
Examine and evaluate current systems
Document interfaces between external and internal systems
Collaborate and validate changes ensuring they support our business
Troubleshoot technical issues and support risk mitigation planning
Make client environment modifications within client's system constraints
Provide analysis and designing of business process
Create training development and deployment planning
Interact with end user team members to complete project activities and deliverables
Build a close relationship with the supplier to uphold a quality service
5-7+ years of proven work experience as a system analyst
Experience working with software development and documentation
Solid knowledge of business information systems
Familiarity with programming languages
Ability to explain technical details to a variety of customers
Excellent analytical skills and a good problem-solving attitude
Experience how to develop and operate strategic systems
Experience developing automation and toil reduction improvements
Familiar with technical incident management
Effective communication and reporting at all levels
Continuous Quality and Process Improvement
Proven experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
Experience with API integration, SAP and SOAP based web services
Knowledge of data management, SQL and RDBMS technologies, SOA design principles
Ideal experience in developing applications using Salesforce.com developer toolkit
Being a functional expert in the contract management domain would be a big plus
