ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
In Payments, we want to enable more customers to have a seamless payment experience. We want to achieve that by:
Trying modern technologies.
Hypothesis testing to enrich our decisions.
Providing customers with their preferred way of paying.
Making payments feel frictionless.
To achieve that, we must lay a solid foundation that will allow us to grow steadily and fast. We also want to provide an easy-to-use platform and tools to our co-workers to deal with a complex payment environment. That includes:
Revamping how we do reconciliation at IKEA.
Improving customer and co-worker experience when processing refunds.
Intensive data throughput to support different market reporting needs.
In this role, you will report to the engineering manager in the Sales & Payments capability area. The Amsterdam office in the Netherlands will be your home location.
WHO YOU ARE
You have a proven track record of delivering high-quality code and is passionate about continuous improvement and delivery.
You have experience designing scalable systems in a microservice environment.
You have displayed extreme ownership of the systems you, and your team, developed by designing, deploying, and dealing with operations.
You have applied tested software development practices.
You are not afraid to test modern technologies and processes to evolve the quality of the services owned by you and the team.
You are a team player in an agile setup.
You are passionate about customers and champion their needs.
You have experience mentoring and growing engineers around you.
You have experience in the Payments domain.
You have 7+ years of experience as a software developer.
You are an experienced Java developer.
You have worked in an environment supporting several payment service providers for the product.
