The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for Irdeto’s consumer-level forensic watermarking solutions – Irdeto TraceMark™ – in both the OTT and Pay-TV broadcast space. The role is a team leader position to drive the effort of bringing a stronger coupling between Irdeto’s watermarking, online piracy detection and cyber services solutions. It requires an extensive knowledge of the market and customers as well as an excellent grasp of the relevant technologies and ecosystems. The main responsibility is to align Irdeto’s product vision, strategy and roadmap with the market demand to ensure product fit and profitability of the product line. There is a strong emphasis on interaction with customers in complex selling situations and customer environments.
Defines the product strategy of Irdeto TraceMark™ solutions for OTT and Broadcast, and its product positioning and fit in existing and new markets and customers.
Leverages market and customer understanding to serve as the voice of the customer in decisions made regarding current and future solutions.
Manages the product lifecycle of the solutions and the underlying watermarking technology.
Collects customer, solution, and market requirements from customer interaction and market analysis and works with the release product manager to elaborate these to an appropriate level of detail.
Works with the release product manager, and product managers from adjacent solutions, to prioritize requirements and define medium/long-term product and solution roadmaps.
Defines and owns solution pricing, pricing strategy, financial analysis and justification.
Works with the solution marketing team to create product collateral and participates in marketing events as a thought leader and solution evangelist (e.g. trade shows, webinars).
Works with the market intelligence team to gather competitive and market information.
Manages a team of 2-3 product managers, providing leadership, mentoring, guidance, and support.
Works with the solution marketing team to define go-to-market strategy, key benefits, product positioning, target customers/vertical markets.
Defines and ensures SLA delivery and ownership across the organization.
Supports sales and pre-sales in key customer engagements as subject matter expert.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience as Product Manager, or other similar role, in a technology environment.
Demonstrable technical skills, knowledge, and ability to manage technical aspects of a product or solution.
Excellent English verbal, written, and presentation skills to both technical non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of and experience within the Video Entertainment industry, video backend infrastructures and/or video capable devices.
Highly self-motivated person able to drive projects forward with limited input.
Ability to provide people, technical guidance and coaching to teams.
Proactive and pragmatic attitude in working with both external parties and different parts within the organization.
Ability to build strong relationships with sales teams and customers.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, a Business Degree, or similar work experience.
Specific knowledge of, and experience within, content security and watermarking technologies is preferred.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Highly motivated self-starter with initiative and passion to succeed in an informal fast paced environment.
Regular travel to customers and non-customer sites worldwide (25%).
Excellent presentation skills in front of customers and at industry events.
