Senior Manager Global Mobility

This role develops the policies, processes and frameworks for cross-border employee movement that help Booking to attract, develop and retain employees.
This role manages the team that handles all relocations into The Netherlands (up to 1000/y) and all global moves (up to 300 initiations/year) to ensure employees a great mobility experience with high-value business impact with a compliant and cost effective approach (Program’s total costs EUR 11,6 Mio.). This is achieved through influencing and advising business leaders about our mobility solutions to maximise people and business performance and engage with key stakeholders internally as well as externally to ensure alignment.
This role manages high complexity in a constantly changing environment including legislation within immigration, tax, social security and legal matters. Where issues are identified, the Manager reprioritises workflows and aligns appropriate solutions with line management, HR business partners and other functional stakeholders. Strong sense of integrity and discretion in managing exceptions towards assignees and business leaders.
This role requires broad Global Mobility experience and requires a passion for adding value to the business. It's ideally based in Amsterdam as a preferred location.
Design and develop the NL relocation and global International mobility long term strategy, policies, processes, standards, tools and governance in close cooperation with the business and across the internal functions e.g. HRBP, local HR in Booking locations, finance, legal, tax, rewards, payroll, Leadership Development, Recruitment etc.
Has deep business understanding and an ability to translate business/HR strategy into longer-term workforce implications
Manage relationship with third party providers of all mobility activities e.g. immigration, tax, pension, health insurance, relocation, housing, schooling, cultural awareness training, spouse support etc.
Continuously monitor, refine and adapt current mobility practices
Ensure individualised, high touch service with regards to end-to-end case management of relocations into the Netherlands as well as Global mobility moves.
Align Booking’s global International mobility approach (especially on Relocator and Expat benefit policies) in close partnership with the business and taking into account external market practices.
Manage the overall cost base for mobility in a cost effective and transparent way.
Ensure proper value management of international moves (link talent management, appropriate cost information and sign offs and exception management; balancing costs, risk and business needs).
Assuring high quality global expatriate services and processes with strict compliance to all relevant regulations (immigration, tax, social security, labor law, legal, corporate tax, data and privacy protection etc.).
Provide mobility data analytics to support business decisions.
Inspire and encourage the team to continuously develop and improve provided support.
High awareness of the sensitivity of moving employees and their families across country borders and ensure a smooth transition that enables the employee to deliver high business performance.
Promote and engage with external communities and authorities to understand and influence any mobility barriers and cooperate with them on sustainable solutions.
